Hello, I'm not sure if this question really belongs here, but I didn't know where to put it.
Here's my explanation:
I have the HTPC connected to the network via a Conceptronic USB Wi-Fi adapter. It's connected to a rear USB 2.0 port on a Gigabyte H55M-USB3 motherboard (see signature), and it's always been connected to that port and it works normally. The other day I connected an external USB 3.0 hard drive to one of the USB 3.0 connections on the motherboard, to watch a movie that was on it. As soon as Windows 7 recognized the connected drive, it deactivated the USB 2.0 where the Wi-Fi adapter is connected and I lost my connection. However, the keyboard (Logitech k400) works, which has the transmitter/receiver connected to another USB 2.0. As soon as I disconnect the external drive, the Wi-Fi starts working again :wall::wall:I've updated and reinstalled the motherboard drivers, the bios is up to date and there have been no changes in Windows. If I connect the hard drive to USB 2.0 everything works correctly. On the desktop I have connected USB 3.0 external drives (this one included) and all peripherals work normally.
What is this mystery due to? Envious, incompatibilities :ugly:Thank you very much
