Hello everyone, I hope someone can help me.
I am learning to program in pls qsl and I do it on a virtual machine, where I have oracle and pl sql installed.
It is common for me to make mistakes when programming, especially with recursion, and the computer gives me an error. For me, it must create some kind of log on the computer and it has saturated the virtual machine.
Now I do not have space on the virtual machine's hard drive and the pl sql does not start.
Where can those files be if that is the reason?
In any case, if you have been kind enough to read this post, I appreciate it anyway. -
Without going into oracle administration, the first thing that comes to mind is that you make more space in the virtual machine, start up the database and optimize it so that it doesn't happen again. If you have the virtual machine mounted on VMware, you can do it this way Redimensionar discos virtuales VMware | Solusan If your database logs grow too much, you should check if you have the database in archivelog mode. Basically, and roughly speaking, if the database is not production, you don't need to have it in archivelog Activar/Desactivar Archivelog de Oracle « Ramon Weblog And how many redo Oracle Tips en Español: Archivos redo log. and control files do you have configured and of what sizes Control files « Cajón de sastre sobre oracle (these last ones really shouldn't eat up too much space compared to the ones mentioned above)
