[Help] 3570k + Asus P8P67 Deluxe
-
Hello, I have a problem that is driving me crazy… I just got an i5 3570k to overclock it with an asus p8p67 deluxe motherboard and I enter the uefi bios in the ai tweaker section, I set it to manual and I don't get the option (http://i.imgur.com/AIeWx.jpg) that everyone gets to be able to change the turbo ratio… I can only enter cpu power management and I can't increase the cpu ratio that is at 34, I am desperate and don't know what to do anymore. I have updated the bios and other things, see if someone can help me. Thanks -
And in the option that appears to you of OC tuner does not allow you to enter either?
-
no that option is for making an automatic oc… which by the way does nothing xDD it should come out like it comes out to too god http://imgur.com/NmOy5.
Then in cpu power management there is the option of cpu ratio but it won't let me go above 34 which is how it comes from the factory..

Update BIOS.

This is updated.. -
Starts with all parameters in Auto, and you should be able to access the Turbo options.
Salu2!

Nothing stays the same… The strange thing is that before I had an i7 2600 without K and the options to change the multiplier did come up and now nothing I am really baffled :wall:
-
the chipset on your motherboard is not suitable for that micro, you need to have the bios 3207
for an ivy micro in the K series, you need to have a z68 or z77 chipset, if not it is useless to be K.check out this O.C. guide Official ASUS P8P67 Series Overclocking Guide and Information - [H]ard|Forum

OH thank you finally someone who responds with something concrete and reliable I appreciate it, so if I change it for example to an i5 2500k would it work?
-
yes, because it is a Sandy Bridge and the one you have now is an Ivy Bridge
Sandy Bridge, also known as Intel Core of Second Generation
Ivy Bridge, also known as Intel Core of Third Generation, is a tick, that is an improvement in the manufacturing process.
In this case we went from the 32 nanometers of Sandy Bridge, to the 22 of Ivy Bridgeregards
-
Ok, well that's fine because I can still change it.
Thank you very much for your help. Regards -
You are right about what they told you, the chipset on your motherboard is for a Sandy Bridge, the Ivy ones need a board with the newer chipset (z77 for example…)
