Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer admitted during a shareholder meeting that the company may have entered the tablet market too late, but he still believes in the potential of the platform.
During the meeting in question, Ballmer was asked why Microsoft had fallen behind Apple in the market. "We are innovating in the field of hardware and software... Maybe we should have done it earlier," he said, noting that he felt good vibes in the area of innovation.
