Software development team with Ubuntu

Hello, I am interested in building a new PC, mainly for working with Ubuntu 12.04, so I don't need excessive power as if I were a gamer.
I would like it to have an SSD hard drive, and above all, the graphics card should not have problems with Ubuntu, since I'm not sure if it's better API or Nvidia, since with old ATI cards I've always had problems with drivers, I think Nvidia is much better for Ubuntu according to my experience.
I've looked at configurations but as I'm not up to date with hardware, I don't know if there are many differences between i5 i7 and their different models, I suppose that for development maybe an i5 would be enough.
Well, my budget would be around 800 euros. I'm going to put a configuration that I've seen to see if you can find anything and advise me. I've chosen the parts a bit randomly by looking at configurations that you've posted in recent days.

I really don't know if I would need an i7 or if an i5 3550 would be enough. Then I put a motherboard that you recommend, and about the SSD hard drive I also put one that I've seen that you put in other budgets but I don't know if there's something better.

As for the graphics card, with the integrated one you will have more than enough and the support will be much better than that of a dedicated graphics card.
When you say "software development", what exactly do you mean?

I know that a card is not necessary, but since I am buying the PC, I will have to put a partition with Windows to play a battlefield every now and then, but if the integrated ones have more support, they suck because it is really for work although it is always good to shoot some bullets.
If I put a dedicated graphics card, I am very clear about looking for 100% compatibility with Ubuntu 12.04 because I really changed my PC because of the problems my laptop gives me with the graphics drivers and the graphic performance, when virtualizing Windows it suffers a lot (graphically).
Mainly for developing Android applications, Web, managing geographic databases (GIS handling of a lot of data) and some design, opening GIMP, virtualizing Photoshop etc.
I know that with less I will probably do just as well, but I want to forget about changing PCs for 4 or 5 years. And the thing about the graphics is a whim to be able to play some day, when I have time, and to be able to manage different monitors with different resolutions.

If you want to be able to play Battlefield (I assume Battlefield 3) in good conditions, the fact that you want to use the PC to develop software is irrelevant. What you need is a PC to play BF3 and with that you will be able to develop your applications without any problems.
For dedicated cards in Linux: an nVidia is the best option. For the rest of the hardware, see if a colleague can guide you.

Thank you very much, it's not that the function is to play with the pc, but with the sufficient power that I hope the pc has and a medium graphics I suppose that allows me to play, since with my pc that is 7 years old it allows me, that's why the graphics, but I really look for a pc to work. But if you are right that a pc to play btf3 will serve me for the rest perfectly.
What I am afraid of is the hardware compatible with linux (supposedly all are), since it has given me many problems with the laptops.

Laptops sometimes have very little to do with desktops: the Optimus technology from nVidia comes to mind, but the support for Linux is already in place (Nvidia commits to giving graphic support to Linux - Analysis, Applications, Development, Hardware, Business, Software - CIO Am©rica Latina). Otherwise, nothing in particular. An Intel platform with an nVidia graphic should not give absolutely any problems on Linux.

Well, I'm a bit lost about which memory to put, the issue of brands and frequency. That said, I have put 8GB at 1600, but if you recommend another brand, I'll change it.
Is there a big difference between the 650 and 660 in terms of graphics? The price difference is about 70 euros, but I don't see the need for two more GB of graphics for an occasional Battlefield session. What do you think? I would opt for the 650, which is already 170 euros, and seems good. Is the Asus brand good?
Well, about the power supply, I just picked any one, I'll look at the cooler now, the only thing I'm clear about is the hard drive and now the micro, hehe

Well, I have definitely decided on the latest configuration, I have changed the micro 3550 for the 3570 which is 3 euros difference. I just hope that the power supply and the heatsink do not cause me problems with the case, since I bought this without comparing much.
If you can take a look at it in case you see that something does not add up, I would appreciate it very much.

I think the heatsink is good value for money, similar to a good air cooler, but these Corsairs perform well. As for the case, I like Aerocool for its design, but the quality is really bad and I've tried many, it's a shame they don't have these PCC ones, the Cooler Master CM690 Lite, which had a good price and is very good quality, right now they have the 690 Advanced but it's gone up a bit to €93.
You can find it on Amazon and I think it's a better case if you get the premium trial with free shipping.

To be honest, I don't usually pay much attention to cases lately (I used to, though), I know that for 50 euros it won't have much quality but I liked that they had the connectors and everything at the top, especially I wanted to get everything from pccomponente to have it as soon as possible. Even so, I will look among the ones you recommend and other brands. I assume that there's nothing strange about the rest of the configuration, right?
I've always been curious about these fluid coolers hehe. I want to pick up the equipment today for the long weekend so I can leave the work environment set up, that's why I'm in a hurry

The heatsink will be similar to a good air one but with good fans it will be much quieter and does not require maintenance like a real RL, a good case is noticeable in the long run but the money goes up XD, I think the equipment is good except for the case but that's up to you to decide.

Well, in the end you have convinced me jeje, for 20 euros more we are not going to be stingy as long as everything improves a little and is of better quality, I am going to decide on a Cooler master that seems to be of better quality jeje
