Problems with Gigabyte GV-R785OC-2GD
-
Hello everyone, I have this Gigabyte graphics card, the 2GB one. The problem I have with it is that when I play for a while, my PC freezes. I don't know why. I've had it for 1 day. The PC doesn't have any problems.
I've tried many versions of drivers (currently the latest is the 12.11 beta) and it still happens with all of them.
My equipment is:
- Asus M5A97 EVO
- 8GB DDR3 cl7
- 7850 2GB OC
- 1TB SATA3
- Nox Urano VX 750W Activa
I've read that many people have the same problem, but I still can't find anyone who has solved it yet.
Regards!!

The same, 7850 2GB OC from Gigabyte I just tested the 12.4. After not being able to do a single benchmark (Heaven DX11 Benchmark 3.0) with other driver versions, with these I did 2 complete ones and I started playing, but in the middle of the game it happened again

Which game?
What settings and resolution?

With any game or working (in video editing).
I play at max and at 1920. With hdmi. The game itself runs smoothly and the graphics temps are very low

Doing a bit of research, it seems that you are not the only one this happens to, and although they released a BIOS to fix some problems in cards with Hynix memory, most end up doing an RMA.
Regards! and Good luck

Yes, I'm afraid so. I'll call the website where I bought it tomorrow morning.
Will I exchange it for the same one or for a different one? Because apparently these errors are in several assemblers of the 7850

Something tells me that if you find a model with different memory chips you won't run the same risk, don't you think Mr. Fassou?

In reality, it seems that whoever gets a bad one will either change it or have to eat it with potatoes <:(
In your case, I would try to change it (by paying the difference) for an HD7870, or even better, a GTX660Ti :sisi:
Regards!

I am already processing the return. If I can change it, I will change it for the same one, I can't keep going up. Maybe I'll get the MSI, it's only a little more expensive. Although I have seen that this one has fewer cores

If I enter Everest, in the GPU area it doesn't show anything. Not in CPU-Z either. I read this:
HD7800 series with black screens, send to RMA immediatelyIn Everest, I see the bios identification 113-xxx-xxx
