      Hello everyone, family!

Indeed, the moment has finally arrived to renew the old 17" square monitor, which has endured so much. It has been wonderfully amortized, it has been 7 long years, and it still works, but the crossfire is biting my leg asking for full HD, and I think it has a point… and I come to beg for recommendations from the council of wise men, since I am deeply attached to monitors xD

What I am looking for is 10 more inches, all at once, so that there is luxury :ugly:
About 27 inches, to play decently and watch some movies occasionally, that it is LED, with HDMI, full HD... just right for the crossfire 5850 :sisi:
Response time and games: Well, I am a gamer but not excessively, I will clarify this, and it is that I am not very fond of shooters, but I play all kinds of driving games, graphic adventures and action, like Tomb Raider, GTA… I calculate that 5 milliseconds will be enough, I have never experienced ghosting, but let's stick to what you recommend. (Besides, don't I have a crossfire? I am obliged to play! xD)
Contrast, brightness, viewing angle: No idea today, I will watch movies occasionally as I said, but I don't know what values suit me and such. I hope to receive your instructions on this section, as I have no idea how things are currently.
Consumption: It is irrelevant for the moment. In this section, I care a little.
Connections: With HDMI, DVI and such, I am satisfied, but any extra connection, like USB or similar, is welcome.

The budget is 230€ maximum, but as we all know, if the opportunity deserves it, we could stretch a few 10 or 20 euros.
I have had my eye on this one for a while: BenQ GW2750HM 27" LED VA DVI/HDMI Multimedia 9H.L8NLB.QBE Monitor But it is sold out and who knows when they will restock it… :llorar:
I have found this store with free shipping where they have it at a very good price, but I have no idea about its reliability or anything… although it is tempting, a lot.

That's all in broad strokes, I am open to other options, recommendations and whatever, let's see if I can get a monitor that will last another 8 or 10 years :ugly: (innocent of me xDDD)
Thank you very much in advance ?

Greetings and happy holidays to all! ;D

I'm quite a fan of the Ultrasharp, but of course, the more affordable Dell 27 is priced at 350 xD If I were to get one, it would probably be a 24. If you're going to sit a bit further away to watch movies, it will be a bit small :ffu:

+1 I've read good reviews and it has a good price, so wait for it to be back in stock and go for it.

So you're using me as a guinea pig :ugly: as I hope to be able to change my monitor in 2013 :troll:

Now seriously for that price it's a good monitor although I've read that the quality of materials is not its strong point.

That's the thing, I want a 27" to sit back and watch movies well... the 24 inch was the first option, but seeing the proximity in price and the distance available for movies... I promised myself it wouldn't be less than 27 :ugly:

I think the same, I have been on the verge of buying a 24" on occasion and I still have my 17" 4:3 but today with the prices that some 27" have I consider it more accurate to go for a 27"

If you do something big and there is space on the desk then it moves a little and that's it, but in the long run it will be appreciated.

Monitors are like hard drives ;D that no matter how big you buy it you always end up filling it :troll: Well the same, I remember when I bought my monitor about 7 years ago. It seemed to me a more than considerable size coming from a 17" CRT and now it seems like a dwarf... and in fact it is a dwarf :eoh: A year and a bit ago in a job I had I had a 22" with Full HD resolution and I didn't go blind miraculously...

More than 27" I'm also not sure what's the point of playing near xD

That's the problem wei, not everyone has a big desk, I can't move more than half a meter while playing and more than 27" I don't want it (it also doesn't fit me in width xD) even if I put movies 2.5m from the bed. Maybe for cars but it's much better to get an ultrawide :ugly:

Man, up close it's not the plan, I could go blind in full HD in just a week xDDD I have some room to maneuver fortunately, and if the BenQ is as flat as they say, I'll be able to stick it to the wall as much as possible, getting a not inconsiderable 105 centimeters of separation between it and my eyes xDDD
At times the distance will be greater, because I can grab the keyboard and put it on top when I'm in recliner mode, but normally I tend to write leaning on the desk, and that meter will be the predominant distance :ugly:

I mention it because I have bought from it several times and have had no problems. It is a Valencian store if that helps as a reference. Anyway, the photos are different even though the part number is the same, so make sure it is the same monitor before you buy XD.

I switched to a 24" BenQ Led a few months ago and it has pleasantly surprised me, due to space issues I have almost the length of my arm of separation (take precise measurements!!!!) and that's what Obione says, more inches and I'll go blind, with 24 I have more than enough and for movies I have the 37" plasma next to it.
That 27" looks very good to be honest, luckily I didn't see it before buying the one I have xD
                                    Regards.

Well, first scare of the year (even though it's early to be scared xD)
I received an email this morning from the current market store suggesting that I rate the product I received.
I went to the website to see the status of my order and it says DELIVERED ? when nothing and no one has arrived here all morning…
I have sent them an email asking what's going on, to see if they respond as soon as possible. I have also told them that throughout the process I have tried to use the shipment tracking they made available to me in the details of my order on their website and there has been no way... I am, at the very least, worried :ffu:
To those of you who have shopped at that store before, has something similar ever happened to you? I don't know if I should wait patiently a little longer or start thinking that they have given my monitor to someone else...
                                      Regards

Well that's strange, anyway don't worry if it wasn't a mistake they will tell you, I wouldn't recommend buying there if I hadn't received good treatment, let's just say, you'll tell us how it went and what happened.

I completely trust your experience with that store, as well as Nemo's, of course. Now let's see if they don't make a fool of me too much and I can have the monitor today... or at least know that it's going to arrive and that I haven't lost it :wall:

Anyway, if they have sent it, call the company that delivers it to see what they say.
