well, a family member was given an old MAC at work and the disk is not recognized, it starts loading the OS and crashes. I usually just format and that's it;D but of course they don't have the CDs... of the OS, design programs, etc. so I'm asking for advice on using a program that tries to repair the disk without deleting anything and that works under W7. (and that's not paid;D )
P.D the disk is a Wester Digital 102AA and the MAC I have no idea but I think it's one of the old ones, at least I think it's between 9 and 10 years old

well the first one on the forehead :wall:
if I connect the hard drive to my PC through a logilink HDD adapter to USB it does not recognize the hard drive (regardless of whether I set it as "master or slave"

To use damaged HDDs, it is always better to plug them in without adapters, on a motherboard with IDE in this case, but if you don't have <:(, try with the Disk Manager in Windows, or with a Live-CD distro, Hiren's BootCD or similar.
Salu2!

well, this afternoon I dismantled half a room to find the IDE cables (if those relics are still stored;D)

greetings and thanksYou need a PC2 dude :ugly: and just in case a PC3, and just in case a PC4, and just in case… :troll::troll:
If you couldn't find the little cable I'll give you one man

Greetings and good luck!

calla calla Sylver how much I want to get rid of stuff and yet have two or three PCs. what's sad is that I have them :troll: but disassembled :mudo:
well the issue at hand, after assembling cables and other stuff, the PC recognizes the hard drive (in the BIOS) but when it comes to booting the OS... conflicts with the RAID 0 that my OS W7 has
I'll keep messing around with the BIOS and I'll let you know

Searching for a cable for me is a bit traumatic because …. they are under the PC

As with a single disk I have no results, I put the disk of the Mac in slave and I plugged one that I had at home as master and the second one on the front

The order in the BIOS 1 RAID 0 2nd my IDE 3rd the IDE of the MAC

The order of the Boot

The third one on the front

After F1 it loads W7 without any problems
Down in the right corner it shows the typical (of the two disks)

And the damn result

My IDE appears but not the one of the MAC
:wall::wall::wall::mad::mad::mad::wall::wall::wall: (S.O.S)
What left me on the way? Is it possible that it is so messed up? It used to work before
Regards and thanks for the suggestions -
Have you tried searching in the disk manager to see if it appears without a letter or something like that? Maybe it will show up there and you can do something to access it.
Best regards

The best thing would be to do these tests on another computer, and especially with a RAID 0, which are not to be trifled with.
Anyway, if you already have it booted up, check in the Computer Manager -> Disk Management to see if it appears, although being a MAC, I don't think you'll have access to its content, unless you format it.
Cheers!
PD: Check if any Live-CD supports MAC partitions, to repeat the operation and be able to copy something from the HDD content.
