      Hello everyone,

This is my first post in the forum.
As you can see from the name of my nickname, I am desperate. I'll tell you why.

I have built a new PC using components bought from PCComponentes and Amazon. The configuration is as follows:

      Asus P8Z77-V Pro motherboard
Intel i7- 3770+ processor with Antec H2O 620 liquid cooling
      G.Skill F3-12800CL7D-8GBXM memory (2x4Gb DDR-3 1600Mhz)
      OCZ Vertex-4 SSD, 128GB
      WD Caviar Black HDD, 1Tb
      Asus GTX 670 graphics card

I have assembled the computer following basic computer safety rules and I can't get it to boot. The motherboard keeps giving a memory error (red memOK LED) and I can't get the BIOS to start. They have changed the memory for me (at PCComponentes) and the motherboard at Amazon to make sure there was nothing faulty and after the changes I still can't get the PC to boot.
At PCComponentes they assured me that the RAM is compatible (and this is attested by the list of compatible motherboards from G.Skill) but there is no way.
I tried some Kingston Value 1333Mhz RAM in the first batch and they worked, but with the G.Skill there is no way.

I am already embarrassed to have made so many changes, so I deduce that there is something I am not doing right…

Can anyone give me a clue??? I don't know what to do anymore!!
In theory this configuration should work perfectly, but I can't get it to work!!

      Thanks to everyone!!
      Pepe

Click the working memory, update the BIOS and try again with the G-Skill

I already did that with the first motherboard.
I updated the BIOS and put the G.Skill back in. When I saw that they didn't work, I thought they might be defective (the DDR3 1333 that a friend left me worked in all four RAM slots.
When the new G.Skill arrived, nothing still worked, so I decided to change the motherboard as well... it arrived today and everything is the same: Nothing works!! :wall:

Check the motherboard manual to see which is the first boot slot, essential for it to boot, and test with just one module in that slot.

According to San Google, those memories are giving some trouble in general, so if you can't get them to work, it's a good idea to return them to buy others.

            Regards!

              Thanks Fassou,
I think that's what I'll do, it's not normal that with some standard memories everything goes OK and with these I can't start the Boot normally.
But it doesn't seem very ethical to me that these memories are sold as compatible (even in the PC configurator of PCComponentes they come out as an option with this ASUS board) and more so being some memories that are not cheap (about 60 euros for 8 gigas of RAM)…and that on top of that they don't work with a last generation board!!

ASUS recommends using the Slot A2 with a single bar of RAM and the slot A2 and B2 in Dualchannel, I've tried all the possible combinations and "nada de nada".

If no one from the forum gives another solution, I'll call PCComponentes to see if they can change them for others (again... what a mess)
