ASUS p8h77-m motherboard turned off
-
I am installing w7 on my computer:
MB: ASUS p8h77-m
CPU: Intel core I3 3220 @ 3300
RAM: Kingston Hyper X 1333 (2x 4Gb)
And everything is fine, on the first shutdown without installing any drivers it gets stuck when the system closes. I finish turning it off with the button. I turn it on again and install graphics drivers, usb,… and now when I turn it off it seems like everything closes (black screen) but the fans keep working (all of them). I updated the bios and it is still the same. In device manager - power control it shows automatic shutdown in the devices I have checked. In BIOS I don't see anything related...
Has anyone had something like this happen? And how do I fix it? -
Try loading the default values in BIOS, and tell us what source you have.

The source is an approx of 500W. The board has an 8-pin connector (24 +
and I have it with the connection that comes by default from the 4-pin source. Although I think this is to improve the stability of the board…
I had already tried setting the BIOS values by default and nothing, it was still the same. I have even tried w8 and wxp and idem. -
If it is well connected, it looks like it could be the source.

Are you referring to a power supply in bad condition? Low power?
I tried another one too, a 500W from the brand Unica, and got the same result -
I mean bad source, because I remember Aqqprox! as a brand of compatible cartridges, but I would never buy one of their sources, not even for a joke.
Your setup doesn't need a decent 500W source, but if you put one that's not reliable, it's likely that it won't deliver the advertised power, and you'll end up frying some component, like the motherboard, for example.

Regardless of what the source may be, do you have W7 fully updated?
