How do I format my laptop?
-
Hello, I have a Levono IMB laptop and I have the CD. My operating system is Windows 7. My laptop does not have much memory. I got a message saying that I have an error in the windows. I put a program on it to give it maintenance and my laptop works well but I forgot to put it on again and now the disk is full. I can't get to the main menu. I didn't surf much and I went to the Justin TV page a lot. What should I do first? This is the laptop I have.NT]

Boot with a LiveCD and back up your data, and then recover the system with the recovery CD.
Salu2!

Honestly, I think the most sensible thing is for you to take it to a technical service because with your knowledge you run the risk of losing everything you have stored on that computer.
By the way, use the default text format. Just because you make the text red or bigger doesn't mean it will be easier to read. In fact, you achieve the opposite: people will ignore your problem. What you're doing is like going into any place where you don't know anyone and everyone is talking in a normal tone, and you start shouting. It's impolite.

The option you need is in the second photo, Recovery to factory contents, but you will lose all your data. If you want to recover it, you will have to enter with a liveCD as you have been told.
Anyway, try Run Diagnostics to see if there is a hard drive test, as you may have a software problem or even a physical hard drive problem.

This in my time was repaired with fixmbr and fixboot, now in W7 I have no idea.
After searching, I found this to see if anyone can confirm the operation.
Windows 7 DVD
choose the repair option
choose cmd
first write bootrec /fixbmbr
then write bootrec /fixboot
restart the system -
Reading and re-reading, I conclude that your machine works, and that you have access to all the data, so the most logical thing is for you to get a blank DVD or a USB flash drive and back up all the files and documents that you don't want to lose.
According to what I decipher from your message, the problem is that it works poorly, so the next thing is to fix that:
Go to the manufacturer's website and download the following drivers:- Chipset driver.
- GPU/ VGA driver.
- Audio driver.
- WiFi/ WLAN driver. From there you would already have internet connection, so you can download the rest of the integrated peripherals like TV tuner, Ethernet, modem, IR port, etc. later.
Get a copy of your OS on DVD, with it you will proceed to format the drive
in NTFS format (NOT the quick format). Additionally, I recommend partitioning the hard drives into reasonable sizes.
(Preferably, change your current W7 to a WXP Pro 32 bits and download the previous drivers also for WXP 32bits)
Currently, it is reasonable to have at least partitions of 1/3 of the total capacity of the hard drive (half if it is less than 40 GB or none if the size is smaller).
The goal is to dedicate one partition to the OS and applications and the rest for storage, so that if we have to format the OS again, our data will remain safe.
In conclusion, in my opinion, a laptop is not the most advisable purchase for someone who is going to dedicate it to more or less current games, nor would I put anything else in it other than a WXP Pro on a 32-bit processor.

Wow I felt like I had gone back in time!

Get someone who understands to take the "laptop", boot it up with a Linux live cd, save your data to a USB drive/disk, wipe everything and reinstall.
