When I changed the thermal paste, the temperature went up
-
Hello,
I took the tower to be cleaned and to change the thermal paste of the micro, it cost me 25 euros, but my surprise is now when I turn on the computer and the temperatures at rest are normal 37 – 37- 24 -37, but when I put Prime95, the temperatures skyrocket above 65 degrees, the micro is a q9450... and the strange thing is that before they didn't go above 61 – 63 when I had it at 3.20Ghz and now I have it at 2.66Ghz by default... The computer was assembled on Thursday... Is this temperature increase normal?
Regards.

well, take it to the place where you got the thermal paste and complain
that's what you paid for
but it's sad that you pay and they don't have a clue what they're doingregards

I don't want to be critical, but ….. paying for them to change your paste and clean your PC
when you want I'll tell you how it's done, it's cheaper and it's sure to come out better

What paste did you have before and what paste do you have now? The paste takes a while to settle, but it is also true that when you don't change it for a long time it loses efficiency.
Put it at 3200 to see how much it marks. Anyway, to be "heterodox" you should know the room temperature of the room when you made the previous measurements and the new ones.
And although it is late, if you are in a forum like this, or if you belong to others, it would not be a bad idea to consult before paying to do something like this. A thermal paste in good condition is not worth much, and changing it is a matter of minutes.

I'll wait a week to see what happens... to see if it settles down and the temperature drops a bit... the room is at 20 degrees or so...

everyone does what they want with their own money ;D
if after paying 25 euros for something like this you have problems with the temps what you have to do is go back to the store and have them fix the problem. it wouldn't make sense that after paying you would have to fix the problem yourself.

And in the end the cure has cost you more than the disease ;). Now you have to go back, complain because they did it wrong, bla bla bla… and of the little time you have..
If you don't have time, leave it for another day, that disassembling and assembling is a short time and the 25€ you save for petrol, a dinner at the burger with your girlfriend or a few beers with friends.

I have had little time for almost three months, only 3 days of vacation, I think about upgrading the PC and automatically I think …. "for what, if I don't have time to use it"
and even with that......
greetings and sorry for the off topic
