I don't see a relationship between one thing and the other. Did you just expand the RAM? You might think it's the RAM but when you remove the RAM you might touch the graphics card that could be slightly moved and that's why it didn't give a signal.

I would go back to plugging in the RAM to see if it gives you a signal. Plug in the 3 modules. In fact, try if it doesn't start up first with just one module that works, and when you check it, plug in only the module that is giving problems.

You could also if the computer starts up run a memtest on the RAM, only on the problematic module to see if it has errors.

With a RAM that has faults, I say this from experience:troll: the computer can start up well, but when you load work on the computer, and demand more use of the RAM it can restart the computer. I suppose it tries to access RAM that doesn't work and restarts, but I have never heard the relationship between the video signal and the RAM.

Well, it may be that the graphics card was not properly plugged in and when I removed the RAM, it fit well... But I already told you that the monitor is new, the cables are working correctly, and the graphics card is not even a year old and it doesn't make any kind of beep, besides running at maximum performance with any game you put on it... As for the power supply, more of the same... unless it was damaged when the power went out... but I already told you that right now I am with the PC turned on and working correctly...

Unplug and re-plug the graphics and its drivers. But now I don't know why I can't set it to the maximum resolution I had before because it loses image and color quality... before I had it at 1920x1080 and now I have to set it to 1680x1050... what could it be?

How? You remove a graphic, you put it back and it doesn't mysteriously lose properties.

Please make sure it is properly plugged in, and if it has a power outlet, it is also properly plugged in. What you say should not affect the resolution at all.

Have you uninstalled the drivers and reinstalled them? I don't know why, but if you check that it is properly plugged in, and you still have resolution problems, uninstall the drivers, restart the computer, install the latest drivers, restart again and set the native resolution of your monitor.

If you still have image problems, look at the program that comes with the drivers where you can balance the colors, clarity etc as you like. But the main thing, check that it is properly plugged in and reinstall the drivers.

Question: Do you have the monitor via HDMI?

The change of drivers affects, especially in ATI (from experience…) what is your graphics card?

              Best regards

I have the monitor connected via HDMI, it's a SAMSUNG. As for the graphics, it's an NVIDIA GTX560 TI.

Now it turns out that I made a change of plug, and I put the hdmi in another hdmi output of the tv, to try. It turns out that my maximum resolution returned and everything is correct….. :wall::wall:

Wonderful no. Exciting, for sure. With the stove you won't have as much fun, nor learn as many things.

Drivers + HDMI, always gives surprises… You have to find the drivers that best adapt to your equipment and try to have all the pixel and size values well adjusted in the drivers. For example, with my crossfire of 5850 and the 27" monitor, it gave me some headaches and I had to install an older driver until they released the latest version recently.

                      Greetings
