Change renewal team…

Good morning to everyone….
I have a friend's computer that doesn't work and when I turn it on it keeps beeping (long beep), I think the motherboard is broken, because I put the memory from my computer and my power supply and the beep doesn't change. As it comes from the 775 platform with an E7400 I have already told him that it's better to upgrade and not put money into an old platform (I have an E7200 and I'm waiting for the new ones from intel to see what I buy).
So with a budget of about 400 €, to play 4 games like Civilization V and Ages of Empire, and use it to surf the internet I thought of this, it won't do overclocking or anything like that (but of course just in case I ask what the choice is). What I doubt the most is the motherboard, I want a simple motherboard to put 8 GB of Ram and little more and of a size that is small (micro ATX)........... Case, hard drive, DVD, and card we use what it has. The power supply with 550 W is enough for a very simple graphics card.
Intel Core i5-3570 3.4Ghz Box Socket 1155 - 179 €
Asus P8H61-MX USB3 - Motherboard - 54 €
Crucial Ballistix Sport DDR3 1333 PC3-10600 8GB 2x4GB CL9 - DDR3 Memory - 56 €
Corsair VS550 550W - Power Supply - 46,95 €Total 335,95
Thank you very much for reading this message and goodbye....

But man, if that's all it's for, spend 40 euros on a new motherboard and run.

I would first disassemble and thoroughly clean the dust off the board. In fact, I would even use a contact cleaner before spending anything on the pc, especially since the one it's playing with is more than enough.
Disassemble everything and after cleaning it, reassemble it outside the case, on the table and start changing components one by one that you know work. In fact, sometimes components that work without problems in one pc fail in the other. -
+1 to garfield, do a full disassembly and clean everything up a bit. It could be the graphics card or a faulty RAM slot. By the way, reset the BIOS using a jumper and if it boots up, update it, something will help.

Many thanks, comrades, but nothing is already pledged that changes…..... Besides, the graphics card doesn't work, nor does the fan on the graphics card work anymore. It had so much dirt that the fan stopped working and got broken... I also used to have 2 GB of RAM and I had to remove one for it to work, now I was only running with 1 GB.
So this is my suggestion (you'll tell me if it's okay)
Intel Core i5-3350P 3.1Ghz Box - 161 €
Gigabyte GA-H61M-DS2 44 €
Crucial Ballistix Sport DDR3 1333 PC3-10600 8GB 2x4GB CL9 - 56 €
Gigabyte GeForce GT 610 2GB GDDR3 Low Profile 46 €
Tacens Radix VI 550W 35 €Total 342 €
Many thanks and goodbye.....

i5 3570k + ASRock Z77 Pro3 + G.Skill Ripjaws X DDR3 1600 PC3-12800 8GB CL9 (2x4GB) + Corsair VS550 550W = ~390€
If you need more graphics, a decent one is given away at Christmas.
Salu2!

I agree with fassou. The i5-k 4000HD is more than enough for the use he gives it, the motherboard is much better, which you will appreciate later, and the memory drives me crazy, because I haven't bought anything beyond the hyperx for a long time, what can I do if I'm "poor".
The Corsair has no complaints. -
Good morning, I am going to buy what you have recommended to me.
Thank you very much and goodbye.
