Problem when changing the heatsink
-
Hello, my problem is as follows:
I have negotiated a "active" graphics card heatsink, the heatsink that my card had previously was passive. When I put the new heatsink, the graphics card works perfectly, but the heatsink fan is stationary.
The "active" heatsink worked correctly on another graphics card, but in this one, it doesn't move at all.

I would start by checking the polarity of the connector, just in case it's reversed :mudo:, but if it has no voltage, you have to remember that if it's a card model with passive cooling, it probably has the connector disabled in its BIOS, or the track is cut.
Solution: connect the fan elsewhere.
Salu2!

I've tried the connector in every way and nothing
I vote for the BIOS option, these people are my we… if they put the connector they could leave it activated. I don't know if you can touch the BIOS of the graphics, I'm going to look into it (if anyone knows something and gives me a clue I would appreciate it)
Connecting it to another place I think is not possible, the motherboard doesn't have connectors of that type
Thanks for the help

I think exactly the same as Fassou. And if you can't find anything in the graphics card's BIOS, it's almost certain that the power circuit of the connector is cut off from the factory.
I would take two small wires that you have lying around and put them into the fan connector, and then put the two into a molex from the power supply:
