I bought an external hard drive (wd my passport 2tb), but when I went to enter files larger than 5gb, it wouldn't let me, so I noticed that it was in fat32 which surprised me since a 2tb hard drive shouldn't have any limits, so I decided to format it to ntsf but during the formatting process the hard drive threw an error and turned off, when it reconnected the pc recognized it and immediately turned off again, and I saw the following G:?, above the hard drive icon I saw a question mark. This icon with the question mark comes and goes, so I decided to check if it appeared in disk management, and I saw that it was in raw format. So, I researched and saw that this apparently is a partition, the problem is that the pc doesn't recognize the hard drive and I can't do anything. I need help please, thank you -
Hello and welcome
TestDisk this program gives you the option to write the MBR, which is something like the first sector that makes the disk bootable, which is the disk's fault
many people solved the problem with CHKDSK

If the HDD appears and disappears from Disk Management, connect it directly to a USB port on the back of the motherboard to eliminate possible problems with the front USB ports.
Regarding the RAW partition, from Disk Management itself, you can delete it and partition the disk as you wish, assigning the drive letter you want.
Salu2!
