Duda with CM v8 on AM3+ board
-
Hello everyone. I am new to this forum and I come seeking your wisdom

I have a cooler master V8 installed in my socket 775 computer. I am going to buy a new one and I am setting up the configuration but I have a doubt if with all the V8 parts that come in the box I can install it on a new AM3+ motherboard.
I am very happy with the heatsink because it is hardly heard and my Q9650 is always cool and I would not like to buy the same new one just.
Well, thanks to everyone in advance and goodbye -
Simple. Check if the box says it is compatible with AM2/AM3+ and that's it. If it's not on the box, look on the manufacturer's website. If you're still unsure, take the mounting hardware in the box to the store where you're going to buy the computer and check if any of the mounting hardware fits.
Quick, simple and well-founded.

He is not going to put it in because I bought it when the socket 775 era was...
I am going to buy it online but what I will do is look inside the box to see if by any chance AMD has not changed their anchorages since those times... which surprises me
Well, if you come up with any other ideas, it is appreciated -
Well, I wouldn't be too surprised
if it wasn't compatible and you buy the micro with heatsink you can use the clip from that.

Let's see, clay heart:

Why the hell do they ask questions to do the opposite later? I'm giving you a solution and you're ignoring it.
See you later.

But man, don't get upset... it seems like you haven't read me, I told you I bought it back in the days of the 775... 5 years ago and AM3 didn't exist yet, so how is he going to put it in the box? and also that I'm going to buy it online...
But the other solution you give me of removing the brackets from the cooler that comes with it if possible seems like a wonderful idea

Thanks and regards to both of you

AMD sockets are the same as always (clamping sockets) you can use the old one or you can use the one from the new micro, although there is a possibility that you will have to tweak it a little.

Pues gracias a todos, solo me falta decidirme por la configuración. Muchas gracias a todos
