Suspicious configuration (for online program)
-
Well, that's it, a couple of days ago an old friend got in touch with me, telling me that he needed a PC to work, he mentioned that it was "LiveTracking".
After much talking and finally finding out what the program was and what he had to do, it's as follows:
- It's a highly addictive card game, that makes use of a lot of programming, by registering and monitoring, all the moves at that moment. It processes text files generated by an online program, and makes use of postgressql. Connected to 3 monitors. He also asked me about whether the program could make use of the CUDA processors or ATI STREAM of the graphics that are put in.
So I thought of a couple of options when it came to the equipment:
Option 1:
Case: Cooler Master CM690 II Advanced
Power Supply: Corsair TX850W
Motherboard: Asrock Z87 Extreme4
CPU: Intel Core i7-4770K 3.5Ghz
Heatsink: Thermalright HR02
RAM: 16GB (2x8GB) DDR3 2133 GSKILL CL9
Graphics Card: NVIDIA GTX760 or ATI HD7950
Hard Drive: SSD Crucial M500 240GB and Seagate Barracuda 2TBOption 2:
