If you want a pre-built liquid cooler, don't go below the Hydro H80i or better a dual radiator one, like the Hydro H100i.

Hello. I reopen the tea because I have tried to install my CM V8 that I had on a 775 board and it turns out that the holes on the Asrock z77 board do not match. Obione told me that the Asrock 1155 boards came with 775 holes and indeed. The thing is that if you put them in the 775 holes the V8 stays bent and does not fit. I have tried all possible positions and it does not fit….. Do you know what it could be? Thank you very much

Bent in what direction? If you could illustrate it with a photo it would be better, to try to figure out what is happening.

Well, it doesn't stay parallel to the sides of the box and it doesn't fully rest on the processor. Moreover, you can see the holes where it says 775 that are at the same distance

In this video they show how to mount a 775 heatsink on an 1155, they change the screws apparently.

And in this post a user comments that the heatsink fits him with a certain angle (not parallel to the case, same as you) but it works for him.

It works! The cpu cooler mounts at a slight angle though which is a little annoying, but other than that seems good. I can overclock from 3.3GHz to 4.2GHz, and the highest core temp I hit under load is 68C, so I'm pretty happy still.

Yes, but it is quite bent with respect to the case and I don't know if it won't be in 100% contact with the processor will it work the same, besides it looks very cure
I think I will order the corsair h60 that costs 65 euros and I will put a good fan that doesn't make much noise and if it doesn't convince me then it can always be returned. The fan issue doesn't worry me, I have read that what can make the most noise is the pump. But until I try it I won't know

To take advantage of it even if it is not parallel, it's not a problem, the ideal thing is to have the socket's own anchorage, but it does the job. The H60, as mentioned, is not the quietest, but I don't think it will go wrong, the biggest advantage is the size that allows better access to the memories and the socket.

The Asrock system for mounting LGA775 heatsinks on LGA1156/1155/1150 motherboards consists of slightly rotating the heatsink, leaving it diagonal, so to speak.

It allows you to use them, but you lose performance, unless the base is so large that it covers the processor equally.

Well, I found the CM brackets for that model on eBay in 1155 so they will arrive in a week or something. I didn't want to put it folded because besides looking ugly it doesn't cover the whole processor and it will lose performance. While I have the one that came with the 3570K on.

I'll tell you about the doubt I have now that I don't know in which section of the forum to put it:

I installed two Corsair AF120 fans in the case, they are those that have the interchangeable colored rings. The thing is that they make more noise than the ones I had in my previous case, which on top of having 3 were of unknown brand (or so I think). I stopped the processor fan and it makes noise, but I'm going to change that one.

Do you recommend some 120 fans for the case that are quiet, and if possible that are black because I don't want to spoil how nice everything is turning out
