Computer for 600
-
Hello everyone, you see I just filmed a commercial and I will get a lot of money in my pocket in about a month, the thing is that my computer is about 8 years old, I love it very much but it can't take it anymore!
I dedicate myself to music so I need a computer that can handle it (cubase, pro tools, native instruments plugins.. bla bla bla) however I would also like to play some games, I saw the new Assassin Creed Black Flag and it made my mouth water, but well the first thing is the first "music".
What do you recommend? I already have the power supply, a corsair of 650 w bought about 3-4 years ago. I also have an external sound card for recording and for 5.1 a creative X-Fi.
Question. What are the differences between the i5 and i7 processor, does it affect me in my case?
Optional, I have a 21p asus monitor and I am thinking of getting one of 23 or so, any recommendations? as I said the monitor thing is optional, we will see...
More than thanks to all. A very strong greeting.

Placa 1150 that best suits your price. One with Z87 perfect
an i7 4770K, which with the graphics that comes for when you are using cubase will consume much less.
16GB ddr3 1600 gskill
SSD of 128-256GB
Disk 2TB to store things
Dissipator for the CPU that responds, that I have a 4770 and it is hot.
graphics with what you have left over
Source that corsair although it has years it pulls more than enough unless you put a lot of graphics
Monitor for 600€ not even joking if you are looking for a graphics card to play. And the difference between i5/ i7 is for cache, number of cores, HT. If you can afford an i7. If not an i5.

Hello:
Here is a post that can help you: Economic Gamer Tower 600 Max - HardLimit
Anyway, for 600€, you can't expect to put a very powerful graphics card, but you can build a good initial team to work with the integrated graphics of the micro, and when you save about 200-250€, go for a nice graphics card. Or build a graphics card for about 100€ that today already costs moving games to Full HD.

So
Merci!!! but with what you've told me the asus i the processor ja is going to almost 600! jajaja

So
Okay I've seen that there are many z87 ones how is this? Asrock Z87 Pro3 90-MXGP90-A0UAYZ Motherboard

You'll get the graph later, starting from this:

If you want something cool, get a 760:

OK! Look what you think?
HARD DRIVE Corsair Force Series GS 128GB HARD DRIVE SSD SATA3 - SSD Hard Drive –---113€
MOTHERBOARD Asus z87k--- 118€
RAM 4GB G SKill Ripjaws DDR3 1600 2x2GB ----42€
PROCESSOR Intel Core i7-4770K 3.5Ghz Box --- 290€
HARD DRIVE STORAGE Seagate Barracuda 7200.14 2TB SATA3 64MB - Hard Drive ----76€
HEATSINK CPU Cooler Master Hyper TX3 EVO CPU Cooler - Fan/Cooler ---19€
It comes out to about 658...
I'm going to do without a graphics card for now.
I'm looking for a cooler for the processor
Is the PC case very very important? I say this because I want to keep the one I have now.I just saw yours Obione! wow what a difficult decision in the world of computer science!

That's why it's hard to say what to buy. For example, in my setup I bought the motherboard, CPU and memory. I already had the rest, but you'll need an SSD. I mention the SSD because with a mechanical one you'll lose a lot of the performance that the new motherboards can give you.
The HD 4600 processor is equivalent to an AMD 8650/70, which works fine for many things.

Yes, this "SSD" thing is new to me, now instead of getting one hard drive, there are two! hahaha how everything is advancing!
-
So what do you think? the question before, the case? is it very important or do I go with the one I have? merci
-
What case do you have?
If you don't have a rear fan and a front 12 plus the power supply placed below, I would change the case, even buy something better than what I put you, a Corsair 200R with a Z77 Pro4 stays at 600.
-
Well I can always buy those two quiet 12 fans i ale no? because I currently have two but they make a lot of noise because they are old, and power supply issue even if it stays at 600w ja I mean come on right? I'm also not going to put a graphics card over 100, as I said for now I'll stick with the one on the motherboard!
merci!

Good morning:
I have had the case of my signature since 2000. For 13 years and through my nose what is left of it

Alright guys I already have the money, but since some time has passed some things have probably changed so if you can recommend a new setup? merci!
In the end I'll also get a new case.

4 gigabytes of RAM are not scarce for audio editing?
-
If true, the thing would be 16, I don't know why because I have 4!
-
Ayudita?? Hago la misma configuracion que hay por ahi escrita? -
If a 212 EVO doesn't fit in your case, I would change it, starting from this: http://xtremmedia.com/?q=cconfig/view#A011653,A001648,A002314,A001243,A011562_op,A012650,A012629,A002110 (If you prefer performance, look at the NOX Coolbay SX, it's noisier because it's more open but has more comfortable filters and comes with 2 fans) If you want to stretch more, you can go for a K but in that case I would go from lost to the river an HR-02 in pccomponentes and starting from a LanCool K58 that already includes the cooler: http://xtremmedia.com/?q=cconfig/ficha/A003415 Thermalright HR-02 Macho Rev.A HR-02-MACHO-REV.A Fan/Cooler You could also order the SSD from pccomponentes as it's in stock and a bit cheaper. You can get the memory 10 euros cheaper at pccomponentes: Kingston HyperX Genesis DDR3 1600 PC3-12800 8GB (2x4GB) CL9 KHX1600C9D3K2/8GX DDR3 Memory I suppose they will hold 1600 with the series voltage, if not, give it a bit more. You can also get them a bit more expensive and faster: G.Skill Ares DDR3 2133 PC-17000 8GB 2X4GB CL9 F3-2133C9D-8GAB DDR3 Memory I put the low profile ones, if you get one with the cooler a bit higher, you could have problems mounting 4 modules with the HR-02. I just saw that the Crucial 1866 on Xtremmedia cost almost the same, if you opt for the config with the 3770 asking for everything in the Extremaduran, get the fast ones. PD: I just saw the Hyper T4, they are 7mm lower and at least you get a 12 fan, it could be worth it to recycle the case if it lacked a bit of width for the EVO. -
Perfect, I will look more closely at all of this! I had thought about buying all of this at some good store that doesn't overcharge for BCN, on Sepulveda street and such, and that they assemble it for me, because I'm afraid of assembling the board and I don't want to risk everything exploding! hehe
-
If you find something with a similar price, perfect, support the small business, and you'll have a place nearby to complain. If you see it going for much more, order everything from Xtremmedia:
I suppose they will put it together without a power supply, which isn't very complicated, it's just connecting a "micro" cable, another to the motherboard, 3 SATA for the drives + burner, and so on. The fan that comes in the front, better to put it in the back, it wouldn't hurt to change the side panels either, and if you want performance, the NOX Coolbay SX case, in this one you would move it to the bottom front, you would have to connect a 4-pin molex to the rehobus (fan control).
PD: I slipped up with the Crucial, they are 1600 as well, apparently the same model but a little more expensive :ugly:
