Gigabyte GA-Z87MX-D3H or Asus Z87M-PLUS (opinions)
-
Hello everyone… just to see if you could give me your opinions between these motherboards...
Gigabyte GA-Z87MX-D3H or Asus Z87M-PLUS.
I was thinking of putting an Intel Core i5-4670K 3.4GHz (3.8Ghz Turbo Boost) with 2x8gb DDR3 2133mhz.
Apparently from what I have studied and analyzed they are very but very similar.
I find that Giga has a display port that the other does not and some difference in the pciex.
But perhaps other eyes see many things that mine do not... as always tends to happen.
I hope you can give me some opinions.
Many thanks guys.Leo

I have just looked at the two models, and the difference as you say is minimal. Only the Gigabyte has the possibility of connecting HDMI devices to make a kind of bridge and so you don't have to turn on the PC or anything like that, but I have also looked at other motherboard models and I think this one is more than interesting: Asrock Z87M Extreme 4, it incorporates an E-SATA (external), and 2 more USBs on the rear panel, and lately, Asrock is making better motherboards than Asus/Gigabyte, besides it comes out a little cheaper than the ASUS.
Gigabyte GA-Z87MX-D3H - 128e
Asis Z87M-PLUS - 116e
Asrock Z87M Extreme 4 - 114e-Best regards!

Thanks x the reply… I was also looking into the possibility of upgrading to a mother atx and not the microatx as detailed before…
I have in mind these two:- Gigabyte GA-Z87X-D3H
- Asus Z87-A
What do you think?

As first option ASRock, then Gigabyte, then several brands and lastly Asus.
Salu2!

I totally agree with Fassou, there is some Z87 Pro, that will suit you better and perform better, you can look at these Extreme 4 or 6 or Pro 4, always considering your needs, like doing SLI, or Crossfire, number of Satas you need, etc…

Thank you very much for the advice guys!
