Portable i3 on PC?
-
Hello!, I have a question…
I have a laptop with a broken screen, which has an I3 M330 processor, 2.13 ghz... My question is:
Can I mount this processor in a PC?
I have seen that this processor supports VMX (virtualization), and I am trying to mount a XenServer, and if I can save some money on the processor... I would only have to buy a motherboard.
If it were possible, what socket does it use?, I think it is 1156. Correct me if I am wrong.
Thanks!!!

I think you are wrong <:(
The datasheet says it supports sockets: BGA1288 and PGA988
Regards!
P.D.: If it's just the screen, you can connect it to a monitor and use it.

Thanks for clarifying it for me Fassou… I've already done the screen thing, I connect it via VGA and I can see the screen, the problem is that the VGA signal activates when it reaches the Linux login, before that the screen is completely black, and the Xenserver installation is in text mode and I can't see anything.
I've tried all the options that "I know" to be able to see something as soon as I turn on the laptop but there's no way, I don't see anything in the bios or "nada"...
Thanks!!!
