Good morning to all
In case it is of interest and in case someone has the solution.
- I have bought a 120GB SanDiskk Extreme II SSD hard drive
- I have placed it where the original one was before
- The original one, which was already a 750GB replacement, I have placed it in the place of the DVD, in its corresponding support, bought for that purpose, it works without problems, I use it for data
- On the SSD, I have installed W7 64 bits and I have expanded the memory of the laptop to 4GB
- This hard drive, in 4 laptops, that I have tested, works without problems, a few seconds to adapt the drivers, which it does automatically and ready
- When it starts up in mine, the computer is another, better than new, it is a TRUE LIGHTNING, in everything, STARTUP, APPLICATIONS, FEELINGS, ETC, ETC
ON THE TOPIC:
In my VAIO VGN-FZ31SIt starts on the 2.5… or tenth attempt, when it does NOT start, it gets stuck on the VAIO start screen and is blocked.
I know when it is going to get stuck, because it starts up with the hard drive light without blinking, it stays on, this means it will not start up anymore, hard reset and new attempt
LABORATORY SOLUTIONS:
With external power, IT DOES NOT FAIL. But this requires:
1º Having the hard drive out of its bay, putting a cable on it, SATA, operated by me, so that it is male-female, that red one formed by four conductors, three masses that connect to the two shields for the 4 conductors that shield them two by two. In China stores, they sell them, but you have to wait a month. For the one who wants to make one, the ATA cable is cut at one end and a "connector" is soldered, previously extracted from a broken hard drive, (although in the drive it seems part of the CI, it is a connector that is very easily recovered) and in the English WIKY, we have the connections of the ATA connector and the power connector, but beware, the three mass points of +5V are not connected, it is false, neither in the SSD hard drives, nor in the classic ones, nor in the laptop, I have connected them in the external power supply, as the WIKY says and IT WORKS. 2º An external power supply and its cable to connect, I have done tests and I have checked that the 3.3 V and 12 V, in my laptop are without connection, it only requires the 5V, but this is anecdotal, my power supply, has all the voltages.OTHER EXPERIMENTS:
1º Powering the "beast" with the USB power supply, it also FAILS. 2º Soldering the three mass points of +5v in the laptop, IT DOES NOT WORK.Beware, all tests have been done by connecting it to the bus of the main and only hard drive of my laptop, not with USB converters or PCMCIA or other connectors.
IF ANYONE knows more about these problems, I will listen carefully and thank you all.
Regards.
