I have finished Remember Me and I leave you my opinion.
It is a game set in the future with an aesthetic that has nothing to do with cyberpunk or steampunk, it is more like a futuristic art deco with a touch of decadence in certain parts; at least it is original and very attractive. It is like this because it is set in a Neo Paris, very technological, with a monumental and luminous appearance that leaves beautiful scenarios. At an artistic level as I say it is very beautiful and although technically it uses the Unreal Engine 3 it looks very good, even on PS3, full of details, HD textures and a great variety of shaders and rendering very fluid.
The story has to do with Memorize company that has managed to have everyone trust their memories in their servers, allowing you to choose which memories to keep and which to eliminate, but that utopian world collapses and there enters the protagonist who was dedicated to stealing ideas through that memory interface called Sense, has been captured and her memory erased. She will seek answers facing great enemies.
The game dynamic is like platforms, beat em up fights with personalized combos and abilities that can be increased, there are also puzzle challenges altering memories. So it seems very entertaining.
What can fail when you have good art, good story and a varied game format that has always worked very well? Well let's say they put very little work into development, I'll explain:
- Mobility is almost on rails, you walk where the arrow marks it being complicated to identify which path to take by yourself and without any alternative path the only choice is to review the scenario well to find boost (which are finally dispensable).
- Non-existent decision making, you are not able to make decisions in the game or change absolutely nothing, that along with the previous one makes it seem like you are playing one of the old graphic adventures.
- The fights are a bit repetitive and only a challenge in some boss fights.
- The story would gain much more by allowing you to discover the truth little by little with more clues that you could look for on your own and in a more gradual way, besides the duration would be extended a little which it needs.
Definitely it could have been a 9 game but for those deficiencies it stays at a 6, technically it does not reach 7 although it is entertaining and people rate it somewhat better than reality. Anyway if you like futuristic games you will have a good time and now you will find it at a very good price.
Greetings.

It's definitely not my style :troll: Good review
Salu2! Jugón!

Yeah, it's too console-y a game for you:troll:
It's distributed by Capcom, who didn't want to get too involved with much publicity, I think the creators are a first-time French studio, so for their first release, it's pretty professional, and people have liked it, so we'll have to keep an eye on them. By the way, I'm adding a link to IGN.

It's not my style but good explanation, I'm going to sink my teeth into Thief this weekend, it's not related but I've already opened a thread for it XD
