Hello to everyone!! I just signed up for this forum. Before I ask my question, I'll introduce myself, my name is Josep and I'm 43 years old, I live in Girona, I'm a normal user in computer science, we understand just enough and I have a desktop PC.

An Asus model CM 6730 with an Intel Core i5-2320 processor and 6GB of ram. Actually it's the model 90-MIBF30-G0EAY0DZ, Model name P8H61-M PRO R3.0 and I would like to know if this memory Kingston ValueRAM - 8 GB Memory (240-pin DIMM, DDR3, 1333 MHz / PC3,10600, CL9, 1.5 V, without cache, non-ECC): Amazon.es: Computers is compatible for my PC. I currently have two, one of 2gb and another of 4gb. The 4gb one says 4GB 2RX8 PC3-106000-999. I want to replace the 2gb one with an 8gb one.

I hope that with this information you can clear up my doubts. Thanks in advance.

      Best regards

I move it to the Memory subforum, which was not painting anything in General.

Regarding the memory, the theory says that your motherboard will have no problems using that memory, but another thing is how poorly it will get along with the other memory (latencies and so on).

        Regards!

Sorry for misplacing it. I'm new to this forum.

So what memory do you recommend? Can I have so many problems? I currently have one of 2 and one of 4 and I don't quite understand what you mean.

It's just that you should take into account the latencies of the 4GB memory when choosing the 8GB memory model, to reduce any problems related to them.

Ideally, you would put two identical memory modules to take advantage of Dual Channel, but it seems that won't be your case, so at least check that the first value of the latencies (CL) matches.

A simple way to know the latencies of the installed memories is to use the CPU-Z.

            Salu2!

Ok many thanks. Now I've got it. Sorry I was completely unaware of the issue of latencies and so on.

              Best regards.
