320x320. Samsung Galaxy Gear

We start the fourth installment with the first smartwatch on the list, only a few months old. It has an 800MHz ARM processor, 512Mb of RAM and 4 Gb of storage.

432x240. WQGA

It has the same name as the standardized resolution seen in the third part although it is somewhat wider, in this case with a ratio of 16:9.
It is also the resolution used in the iPod Nano 7G.

560×192 Apple IIe

We return to the 80s with one of the first Apples that was capable of reproducing this resolution at most using only one bit per pixel, that is, either white or black, without color or grayscale.
It had a 1.023MHz 6502 processor and 64kb of RAM expandable to 1Mb. It was on sale for a decade.

400×270 TurboExpress

Now we move to the future, that is, to 1990. We find another handheld console produced by NEC. Its price was nothing less than $250 of the time, it carried a HUC6280 CPU, 8 Kb of RAM and a screen capable of reproducing 512 colors.

480x234 WQVGA

Once again we find the same standardized resolution. This one is used in DVD players, digital frames, GPS and that type of gadget.

480x250 Teletext

There is no need to explain anything about teletext. It was the Internet of the first half of the 90s and it still is the Internet of many who have remained anchored in the football results at 480x250.

400x300 QSVGA

It is a resolution that is used in some shooters, although there is not much information about it.

640x200 Atari ST

A personal computer from 85. Its price was $1000 with a color screen, it carried a Motorola 680x0 and 8Mhz and there were models with 512kb to 4MB of RAM. This is its resolution when it was running at 4 colors.

480x272 PlayStation Portable

Another handheld console, this time only 9 years old. As a game storage medium it used UMDs, it carried a MIPS CPU at 333MHz and between 32 and 64 Mb of RAM. Its screen was capable of reproducing 16.8 million colors.

512x256 Poly Play

It was an arcade machine that was developed in communist Germany. As a CPU it carried a Soviet clone of the Zilog Z80 at 2.4576 Mhz,

416x352 Nokias E60,70, 80 y 90

It is a smartphone with Symbian that appeared in the middle of the last decade.

640x240 HVGA

To finish this installment, another standardized resolution that has half the vertical dots of VGA.

On the other hand, it is the resolution used in the Handheld PCs, a kind of netbooks that were marketed in the 90s and that ran on Windows CE. Instead of a hard drive they had a ROM and usually had numerous ports such as a PC Card slot, infrared or an RS232 serial port. It is another of those gadgets that many of us would have liked to have but could not.
