[Manual for Clumsys] Free up space by deleting updates

Recover space on the Windows 7 or later installation drive (
)I publish this post, recovering the information commented on in this other post by Obione, trying to make it more accessible, for greater use by those less skilled in these things.
The first thing is to check if we have the KB2852386 Update installed, and if not, go to Windows Update (Control Panel), and in the Recommended Updates section, select it to install. After it installs and restarts, we can continue.

We open the Disk Cleanup, and select the Windows installation drive (
) and click OK.

We will see that a list of elements that can be deleted appears, but we must check if the element called Windows Update Cleanup appears.

If we don't have it (and we have the update indicated above installed), we leave all the checkboxes on the left unchecked and press the Clean up system files button.

The previous window will reappear, but now we will have the element we were looking for.

We select the elements we want to delete, where we can see the space they occupy, and press OK.

It asks for confirmation, and after restarting, where we will see several messages Configuring Windows, Cleaning…, etc... we will have recovered our precious space.
Salu2!

This has reminded me of my younger days when I installed Windows 95 on my 486 with 400mb of hard drive. There was already that utility in Windows and I spent the day running it to see if it could grab some kb. Sometimes it even freed up a megabyte or two.I see that the orders of magnitude of the junk that Windows stores have changed quite a bit.
