Choosing a GTX 750
-
Hello!
I'm going to get rid of my HD5670 to move to a GTX 750 which has low power consumption and performs much better than my old Shapphire. On Xtremmedia, I've noticed the EVGA:

Before they had an Asus almost 10€ cheaper but now it's more expensive than the EVGA ¬¬.
I've also seen the possibility of getting another EVGA 650ti for 70€, which do you think would be a better buy considering the price difference? Obviously the 650Ti is second-hand.
Do you know if these EVGA are noisy?
Another question, do you think 1Gb is scarce for 1920x1080 considering that I won't play much more than World of Warcraft (summer relapse) or some car games that are not excessively recent?

Well, I'm not sure if it will be noisy, but the ones that are quiet and I've tried and like the most are the Gigabyte ones with the Windforce.
Here are some examples, this is the basic one without Ti of a fan

Second-hand at €70 I think it's a bit expensive.
WoW, no matter how much detail and filters you put into it, runs fine with 1 GB without any fps drop. The rest, as usual, you have to play with the level of detail to balance it out.Edit: Oh well, for once I didn't want to mention Gigabyte... ;D

The 'Ti' is overpriced for me, but the normal one is very good, and I don't have to register on another website, I'm already on Amazon.
Thanks guys!

I have different assemblers and all the ones I've tried, the ones I like the most are the giga but I've ended up with others because I found deals

They have raised the price a little, but that Gigabyte is already on its way home

The fluctuations of amazon are the bad or the good xD let's see how you do I have a camera objective booked and it has already dropped 100€ let's see if it holds out until August.

I have the EVGA 750 Ti and I can tell you that in WoW, nothing on the market will run well for you, because for example, my 780 Ti SC can't even maintain 60 fps in 10-man or 25-man raids at 1300/2000 with the 980x at 4.5 GHz and 12 GB Dominator at 2000 MHz 8-9-8-24. It crashes every time, same thing in the capitals, it can't maintain 60 fps even in a joke, now, everything else it eats like a beast.
The funniest thing is that you see that the 780 Ti performance doesn't reach 100% in any case, and it hovers around 75% of the load for half the time you're playing, so it's not the graphics, and not the micro either, since it's proven that my little one performs like a whole 4770k at equal MHz.
Therefore, and although we already knew it, WoW has terrible optimization, like an ass, it offers a lot in gameplay but even with a micro at 5 GHz you won't be able to play in 25-man raids in full HD at constant 60 even if you have a 780 Ti SLI.
But it's only this game, Tom Raider for example the 750 Ti goes fabulous with overclock and moves on average at 55 fps the game, and Crysis moves it very decently, all with ridiculous consumption and a hell of an overclock.
About the noise, it's really not excessively noisy because it doesn't get very hot, it's true that the dual fan version will be cooler and less noisy, the Gigabytes always have good performance in terms of sound and about the Asus it was already proven that the system they use now (the new one is yet to be seen) is not effective at all and is the one that performs worst with the case closed.
If you need specific numbers I'll try to give them to you, although I'm building the PC starting tomorrow XD.
Regards.

Well, it's a matter of demands and perceptions. With the HD5670 I felt it was enough but I wanted something more, and the GTX750 is quite more (practically triple the performance). I didn't raid, I just did Tol Barad a few times and where I do a lot is in BGs, but lowering details, distances, etc... I played perfectly at 1920x1080.
For now I haven't tried WoW, only F1 2013 and Planet Side 2, both little more than a while. Now with the change of working hours and the holidays is when I'll give them more caña.
As for the model I have already been able to check that the Gigabyte's cooling is perfect, it has been a good choice.
Greetings!
