Add shutdown instruction in win7
-
Hello, I hope someone can help me. I have a small problem with one of the programs I use to monitor the PC. I use Asus Probe II, which measures voltages, temps, etc. The thing is that when I turn off the PC, this program sometimes gets "stuck" and I have to force the shutdown. Nothing serious. The problem comes when I leave the computer connected for several hours and I am not at home; if there is a power outage, I have the SAI programmed to turn off the computer, but this program can leave the shutdown blocked.
Do you know any way, via Windows registry or something, that I can make a simple "killtask" instruction of the Asus Probe process at the time of the PC shutdown?
Thanks.

I don't know how you have it configured to start, but if you run it from the Task Scheduler, you have an option (in Properties -> Configuration) called "Stop running task if not stopped when requested" that takes care of it.
Salu2!

Hello, I run it from the start of Windows, but you've given me an idea with the task scheduler, I've created a scheduled task that triggers a script to kill the process I want to load during user logoff and it works, so thank you.
