Incompatibilities with Movistar Centrex service
-
Hello. I have the virtual switchboard service from Movistar with two lines that I use to transfer calls from one to the other.
I am paying almost 50€ (excluding VAT) for an ADSL of 3Mbps. In addition, I pay 19€ (excluding VAT) for a flat rate for national calls and close to 28€ (excluding VAT) for both lines. The other day I called to explain what this was about and the person who attended me (who, according to their appearance, was not too well informed), told me that due to the Centrex service, it was not possible to hire a "normal" ADSL of 10 Mbps with calls included.
To me, this seems very strange because technically, what problem could there be? The thing is that I pay 70€ excluding VAT for an ADSL of 3megas plus calls when that is offered for less than 30€ with triple the speed on normal lines.
He told me that the solution was to remove Centrex and leave two normal lines, but I need to have the possibility to transfer calls from one line to another.
Is this normal?
Thank you.

In the end I have cancelled the accursed Centrex and managed to set up something similar with DECT phones. Next week a technician will come to change my 3 megabit ADSL for fibre at 100.

Of course it is not a technical issue, any type of line can be mounted on a DSLAM that even supports VDSL2. It is a commercial issue.
But come on, if you are going to switch to fiber, then much better.
There is also another virtual switchboard (compatible with fiber) that is now called Movistar Fusion companies that has many possibilities but I do not control the price issue, it will probably cost you more.Best regards.

The Movistar operators are in the lurch. I asked two of them (on two different occasions) if there were similar services over fiber and they said no. Anyway, let's see how the DECTs work. Also, according to the calculations I've made, I'm going to save about 100€ a month, so it's not just a matter of having an infinitely better connection.
