Microsoft Windows 10

There is always a business behind it, I imagine where it is heading, it would be logical to think now that they have an app store and seeing that they can not stop the piracy of their OS, that the worm is Windows and the hook is the appstore. Apple is doing very well like this and making money selling other people's software on their OS does not seem like a bad idea.

I think exactly the same, and the truth is that I think it's something very good, if in a while it is proven that it is an operating system in good condition I will probably install it. I don't like to have anything pirated, I even bought Windows 7 professional, but the third time I installed it it stopped being original, and that doesn't seem fair to me either after paying 200/300€

Here you have the FAQS information, we will see how it comes out after a year.
-
Well, it seems that with the update it will be ours for life, but that after a month we will not be able to return to the original Windows.
-
Has anyone tried it?
-
I have the preview but I don't know if it has been updated to the final version or if I have a license.
-
Have you updated yet? I have the option in the taskbar but Windows Update doesn't pop up  I guess if I get motivated I'll end up using the download option and take the opportunity to format (can it be installed from 0 no?).
-
I already see that I have the definitive version :3

I updated my laptop last weekend, but I went back to 7 because I couldn't avoid the download of the updates in the Home version. That limitation is a pain for those of us who use mobile connection.

I've had it since the day it came out and so far I'm very happy with it, I only had a small problem with the driver for one of the sound cards and the printer but I reinstalled it and it's ready. I came from 8.1 and 7 and for now I'm definitely staying with this one, as I use it I'll see if I find anything I don't like. -
A blow to Vaio users: Sony has not prepared drivers for these devices.
It is recommended not to upgrade to W10 for the time being.
Endevé… :wall: -
Oh dear, a bit disappointing for a brand like Sony.
-
Well Vaio will soon be from Sony...

Well, maybe they have been a bit asleep in the vineyard with the Sony controllers, but for all that, I would rather the brand warn me that there may be problems with the update and that it is better to wait for them to have a solution to those problems, than to have to eat my words just like that.
The one who warns is not a traitor... they say.
Is it a nuisance for Vaio users? Maybe.
But they are not going to die for not having Windows from minute 1. After all, it is not a security update, nor is their equipment at risk.Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk

Not to mention that the vast majority of w8 or 8.1 drivers are worth it, all it takes is a lot of desire to try

Even on Windows 7. I have made a Vaio with an nVidia 7600 go work, which is supposedly not supported on Windows 10. To do this, you have to modify the.inf file so that it accepts the graphics, but I also had this issue with that computer on Windows 7.

Hello,
Any more experience with win10? I'm getting myself an alienware exclusively for gaming and it comes with win 8 preinstalled. I don't know if I should leave it that way and forget about it or try to upgrade to win10 with the possible headaches associated
Best regards!

I had no doubts, I have not had a problem with any game on my laptop, and I have the feeling that the system uses less processor, which is important on relatively old computers like mine, a core2 duo from 2009. The latest rumor is that they will put in a patch to compress RAM to limit as much as possible the use of the paging file, if you don't have enough RAM you will notice it a lot (although on an alienware I don't think that will be your biggest problem :D) -

Yes, a system that is already used on Macs and Linux will be used.
It is about, instead of using the paging file, compressing the data of the applications you have open. It seems that this action of compressing/decompressing makes the processor work a little more, but it is faster than accessing the disk (even if it is an SSD). All this data is compressed in the System process. From my Spectrum +2A with Windows 10

It works perfectly on OSX, I still have 2GB of RAM on my macbook, which is almost impossible with Windows. The memory waste was one of the biggest drawbacks of Windows, they also need to optimize the active services in the background...
