It's a pleasure to read these threads. -
Great post!

And without dwelling on the TSX

Great thread, these branches were missed and gave so much prestige to the forum

Very good work :sisi:
Greetings!

Great job Javi,
Very very good post. Now, to top it off even more, only your experiences with OC are missing, which will be very useful to many

Congratulations!!!

Thanks, I will soon put the requirements for OC data, in principle I want to make two sections, one of extreme OC in case someone hits these CPUs hard with some minimum requirements and another for 24/7 OC with some moderately demanding requirements that determine high stability.
I will try to make the tests to compete as CPU dependent as possible, including RAM in some cases, or maybe in all XD. I have to think about it seriously jejejeje.
About the nico OC, honestly asus has messed me up, I already had the OC stable at 4.6mhz at 1.342v with the cache at 4.6 with 1.35v and I was with the RAM at 3200 tightening timings …. And the bios 1001 came out and I can't find the sweet spot now XDDD.
We have to keep testing.

Thanks for the comment on Haswell-E, explained very simply. I have doubts about whether it is really worth investing in this tick as a high-performance platform and even more so that it is the way to compete with ARM, they are different leagues, I imagine they will apply energy-saving technologies to other ranges. But I think it makes no sense to limit a CPU that they sell for OC by putting savings, absurd but they will know.
A suggestion if you remove images or put them in a "spoiler" to display them better would improve the reading of the text and explaining a little bit about some scheme instead of explaining what a transistor is would be perfect. This is already nonsense of mine, but it seems strange to me to read so many English terms in a sentence in Spanish

I think I won't try these, my Ivy is doing very well, so I'll be happy to see yours in action

I have really tried to make a brief explanation of everything, something graphic, where you don't have to read endlessly and where the "a picture is worth a thousand words" is rewarded, in fact, anyone who wants more information has the sources at the end of the post where they explain everything in detail XD. I think that despite being long in extension it becomes entertaining and direct, after all, the purpose of the branch is to exchange experiences, data and results of this platform, maybe I will prepare another one entirely on Haswell in depth but I have to finish the oc and then build the whole pc …. which will take another branch quite extensive due to the mod XD.
For now with this new bios it is not stable at the voltages I had in the 901 so I am trying again from scratch, I see that it applies better the LLC by clamping the voltages more and that failures in the boot and post have been corrected, for now I have raised to 1.347v in core and 2v in imput to ensure and rule out that I am running short of vcore.
The temperatures I am having are quite acceptable, with the 20 cm phobya the average is over 50 degrees and the maximum over 68º under IBT, I suppose that when I mount the rest of the radiators I will lower a few degrees even while inside the box (everything is mounted on the table XD).
Best regards.

Thanks for the thread, because I'm lost with the new platforms and micros.
-
I am still looking for stability, I have had to raise the vcore to 1.35v and I have lowered the imput to 1.95v I think I will achieve the 100 IBT maximum passes, I will tell you tomorrow XD.
-
I update XD, I'm at 60 ibt max passes but with less vcore and more vimput, this latest BIOS is balancing the voltage towards less direct voltage for the micro, let's see if I can get to 100 and then run realbench for 8 hours.
Edit: Stability at 4.6 1.337 vcore and 2.0 vimput with bios 1001
Best regards.
