Problem with ignition

Hello, I'm not sure if I posted this in the right place, but it's the most suitable one I could find. The thing is that I'm building a PC with some parts from here and there, with a hard drive and a burner, both connected. So when I plug in the power cable without pressing the power button, it turns on directly, which is not the problem, but when I put a new battery in the motherboard and configure the BIOS, when I turn it off and on again, the computer doesn't turn on and I have to remove the battery and leave it off for a few minutes. After that, I put the battery back in or not and turn it on again and it turns on, but the same thing usually happens. My intention is to install the operating system on the old hard drive I have, but I keep running into this problem. I've checked all the connections and they seem to be fine :wall:.
The motherboard is an Asrock AM2NF6G

That it starts up directly may be because it has that default setting, but that it doesn't start up after configuring the BIOS, it may be because you are doing it wrong, or because the battery is low.

If you mean that when you press the power button, it does absolutely nothing, then it will be a matter of the power supply (capacitors damaged).

The battery that the motherboard has is new, so it ruled out the problem of low charge level. The power supply may have been faulty, but if that were the case, it wouldn't turn on after removing the battery from the motherboard and waiting a few minutes, I think. I have the motherboard mounted directly on the case and I don't have the standoffs installed, not sure if that will be the problem because every time I put the battery in and turn it off, it doesn't turn on again, maybe it's because it creates static electricity or something and it doesn't turn on?

I just thought, that in some old BIOSes you had an option, to prevent the computer from turning on when the case is open, which was called... ¿Open Case?

It was a jumper, to which a cable was connected that went to the case, and if the circuit was not closed (or you put the jumper), it wouldn't start.

Regarding your doubt about the power supply, when the power supplies crack the capacitors, it is common to have problems starting up, and you have to leave them for a while without a plug, before you can start them up.
