PC problem (motherboard or CPU)
-
Hello friends,
I have been in this forum for years but I don't usually comment much and well although I didn't comment much I see the posts quite a lot. I'll explain my problem I have a dell 1557 which is a pc that is a piece of crap I don't recommend it at all, for me dell with this laptop you can forget about it. I have had this laptop for about 6 years, the problem is that well it has always had overheating problems but then I started to put thermal paste on it and do maintenance every time I saw that it was getting very hot. Finally, in these last few months it started to turn off and in the end it died and I bought a motherboard from ALLIEXPRESS. I bought it today and I assembled it and when I put the charger it gives current but doesn't turn on the pc, so I understand that it is the CPU? What else could it be? According to a guy who took the computer all the cables worked correctly. How can I know if the cpu is burned out? The CPU is placed by moving the screw, maybe it's the position? I placed it correctly I doubt it's that, I don't know what to think anymore...
Thank you very much

Man, the screw is half-turn, it doesn't have much mystery: counterclockwise to release, clockwise to fix.
Check that the assembly has been correct and that all connections are fixed. If necessary, start over.
If the assembly is correct, the plate is new and the adapter works, then almost certainly the micro has been damaged. -
Is there any way to know if it's dead? Thanks for responding. The RAM is not and even if it were, it would turn on

Apart from trying it on another board, I can't think of any.

hmmm what a pain, let's see if the motherboard is new and the other components like RAM work and the others are independent so that the computer works, as the HDD is clear that the CPU is also burned. Let's see if someone can know some way to know if it's burned too.
Thanks!!
