New compact equipment

As espinete points out, putting an AMD micro in a setup where both ventilation and heat dissipation are so restricted only makes sense if the environment is going to maintain winter temperatures.
As soon as Lorenzo squeezes, we'll start with thermal throttling and reboots due to excess temperature. My recommendation, taking into account the components to be used:
Processor: Intel Core i5-4460
Motherboard: Asrock H81M-HDS or, if XFire is something indispensable the [Asus B85M-E](Asus B85M-E (C2)) (Personally, I do not recommend it in these configurations)
Tower: NOX Coolbay CX or AeroCool DS

Thank you first of all for responding!
I will consider the i5, I will start looking at prices to see what I find. About the case, I had seen the ones you put, but I need something smaller for aesthetic reasons, the computer is for the living room and my girlfriend wants it to look as little like a computer as possible.
Thanks again

Ahh and sorry, I have no intention of crossfire

The smallest is a mini-ITX format, with motherboards like the Gigabyte H97N-WIFI or the Asrock H81M-ITX.
As for cases (let's stop calling them towers in this format), we have the Sharkoon QB One, which could easily pass for a speaker or an air ionizer. ¬¬

Thanks for the answers.
In the end I opted for that i5 4460, but things in live, it is sold out on amazon.
I have thought about its new version, the 6400, with a different motherboard.
What do you think?
By the way, do you know if the fan that comes with the intel is very loud?
Ah, the motherboard I am looking at is asus H110M-K D3

You have the final say, but for an HTPC like the one you have in mind, the 1151 platform is a bit too big, whereas a 1150 system provides more than enough power.
If you can't mount the cooler you have, I would put the Noctua NH-C14S (105 mm high, configured in low profile). The cooler that comes with the processors is just to increase the price :wall:, I wouldn't recommend mounting it, especially in a skylake inside a tiny case, whether the micro is overclocked or not.
The device in question is like this.
!
For an LGA1551 system, we have the GA-Z170n, the Asus Z170 Pro Gaming (both miniITX with WiFi), and the Asus H110I Plus D3 (similar to the one you're aiming for, but in miniITX format) that mounts DDR3 memory (minimum 1.5v).
For DDR4 memory, the ones usually used are the HyperX Fury DDR4 2133, you could use the DDR3 ones if the motherboard you choose supports them and they have the appropriate voltage.I recommend the smaller format simply because it restricts the choice of the case less, but a microATX is perfectly feasible.
On the other hand (I've already gotten heated :ugly:) we also put a Gigabyte GeForce GTX970 ITX OC, powered by a Silverstone SX600-G or a Sharkoon SilentStorm SFX 500W(depending on the case, we can mount a common ATX)
and we already have our mini-super-cucumber living room. :fuckyea: -
Haha, after seeing the price of the graphics card, I've already seen that you've gone up, very up. Well, in the end I ordered the micro board, (because of the ddr4, the one you put mini was ddr3), the new i5 and the ddr4 memory. I'm waiting for it to arrive to see the fan and how it fits in the case, although I will probably buy the noctua and an additional fan. I'll tell you when I build it if it smells too much of burnt :troll:

Well, it's all set up and working. At the end, h110 board with ddr4 and the i5 6400. First impressions:

Faster, to a certain extent, you can generally tell but the difference isn't as much as I expected, maybe I've underpowered it with the processor. That said, system boot time with windows 10 (and a clean install, because it booted with the previous configuration) about 15 seconds.
-
Heat: to fry chops on the graphics, it would shoot up to 92º, I had to manually adjust the ventilation and with the fan at 80% it doesn't go over 82º, acceptable. Now, the noctua nh 12 fan is a marvel, the processor is cool as a lettuce.
-
Aesthetics: Well, it's very cool, all neat and tidy and small.
-
Assembly: not overly complicated although there were some snags, the p*** little plate on the motherboard, there were no web pages on how to fit it, the rest was a bit tricky but not impossible.

generally you can tell but the difference is not as much as I expected, maybe I was shortchanged with the processor.
If you got it on Amazon you have 30 days to return it without any problems:
In addition, the return is free and it doesn't take even 4 days to return the money to your account... including the proportional part of the shipping costs.
My advice is that you get a 6600 which is 40€ more since we are talking about half a Ghz more, which will be noticeable and now you can change it without too many problems... the only thing is that you have the cash :rollani:

Well, I think for now I'll keep it. I'll "hold on", because the truth is that it's going pretty well, a couple of years and then I'll try a low-end i7. The next thing will be the video card because the hd 5750 gets pretty hot, (in winter after cleaning and thermal paste it goes to 80º with the fan on automatic, in summer it will be horrible).
