Hello friends.
Given that I am new to SSD matters, in the configuration of my new PC I have set up an 850 EVO 250 GB SSD for the OS and programs. I assume this SSD will be an MLC of the so-called "small" ones...
For data, I have a WD EFRX 2 TB network drive. I have also connected a WD 1TB Green drive from my previous PC for backups or whatever.
When I assembled the little computer, I made 3 MBR partitions on the SSD, 2 of 115 GB and a small one of a few GB, with the intention of having one for W7 and another for W10 and entering one or the other with a boot manager, as I think I had years ago, I don't remember if with W98 and W-XP or with this one and W7, but in the store they told me it couldn't be done because of some incompatibility, the fact is that they installed W10 Home, but they put the store's name B--P1 as the user, saying that's how they always did it.
As I didn't agree with this, I took it back to have my name put on it and they said the only option was to format and reinstall it.
When I got home and looked at the SSD, I saw that they had made partitions (a lot) with GPT format and I, who am somewhat of a perfectionist about order and who did all the necessary defragmentations to concentrate the clusters as much as possible, was upset by what I saw and didn't know what to do with unassigned partitions, in FAT32 and NTFS, so I hope for your advice on what to delete and what I can't touch or what to do to not have so much "junk" on the disk.
At first I did several defragmentations on this disk, until I found out that it's not convenient, but I don't know how a "disk" so fragmented can work well. And I'm not sure what the optimization is for and I've read that it's not advisable to do it ¿¿??
I've had a look at the posts about SSDs although they are a bit old, but there are many things that escape me and it's quite complex. Moreover, much of the information is about W7 and I have W10 (in a damned hour because it's a pain). The biggest advantage I see is the very fast boot compared to W7, although perhaps the SSD has something to do with it. For the rest, I would have been very happy with W7.
Thanks and regards.

I see that no one has answered you, so I'm going to comment something.
The Samsung EVO 250Gb SSD is a very good drive, but the ideal thing is that you don't partition it, and you use the Magician Software to optimize its operation and durability. I mean, if you put W10, leave it all for it alone.
About defragmenting an SSD, I tell you that it's nonsense , because while in a mechanical hard drive (the normal ones), the information is recorded on disks or platters, with differences in speed between the different parts of the same, and delay in reading or writing when they are not consecutive, in an SSD there is no difference in speed between any of the memory positions of the device, so defragmenting it only manages to increase the wear of the positions, by erasing and writing, reducing its useful life.
Regarding the installation of W10, I think you could do it again without problems, first looking at the serial number that comes with it, and if you don't have it written down, look at the end of this post, where several utilities are commented on to look at it.
Salu2!

Hello Fassou.
Well I've been looking into Show Key Plus, but then in System it shows me this.

](http://[imgI don't know if W10 could be reinstalled with this key, because it's OEM and then it has to be activated and I suppose only a store that has that permission can do it... Right?
Best regards.

OEM means that it is sold bundled with a computer, and cannot be sold separately (retail), but once installed, you can reinstall it as many times as you want, that's what you paid for

Of course, once installed, the window connects to Microsoft and activates.
