[AMD FX 8350] Help with V.Core voltage
-
If the fans are connected to the motherboard, check the connector you use, because more and more come with it, and they are not usually all manageable.
If they are connected to the H100i, it has its own controller, so you need the app to customize them.
In any case, you can always use a direct adapter to connect the fans to a molex from the power supply.

Salu2!

hello again I haven't understood this H100i, it has its own controller, so you need the app to customize them.
what is the app an application, I don't understand.
I will buy that connector that you showed me very good. on which page do they sell it?thank you very much.

The **H100i** has the fans connected to a hose (in the photo, the cable on the left) that is in turn connected to a controller located on the pump + heatsink assembly.
That controller is managed with a **Corsair** application called Corsair Link or something similar, where you can see temperatures and adjust the fans, etc... For it to work, you also have to connect the cable on the right (in the photo) to an internal USB connector on the motherboard. But you already know all this, because you have read the manual and assembled them yourself, right? Salu2! -
Hello again,
I'm sorry it took so long to respond but I had the box far away and it took me a while to retrieve it,
I'm subnormal, I hadn't seen the damn cable, god, god,,, I've now put it in and I'm about to put in the control program.
HUGE THANKS if it weren't for you it would have slipped my mind,, thank you very much. I'll tell you tomorrow.:wall:

I already have reasonable temperatures with full processor load 46Cº and Corsair says 39Cº
I have set the frequency to 4900mhz and the memory voltage for now I have set it to 1.53v. In BIOS that according to the motherboard sensor is really at 1.5v. And for now it is stable, I have had it for 4 hours with OCCT,
and now I will let some time pass playing and leaving the PC on 24/7 to see if it ends up falling or if it holds up, with the memory voltage at 1.5, (real 1.47) it could not hold up to 4900mhz.Fassou do you have an AMD PC??????????
It's that I have the following problem with many games it slows down and I have observed that the GPU does not reach its frequency of 1000 MHz in my case 1060mhz and stays at 800 900 MHz,
Is there any way for the graphics card to stop controlling the frequencies and always stay at full frequency????? Well, in the past it could be done but now I have not found how. What can I do?:wall:
I would attach a screenshot of the GPU tweak so you can see how the GPU and memory do not work at 100% but I do not know how.
YOURS SINCERELY ANDRES.
THANKS FRIEND. -
I'm glad you were able to set up the H100i properly, and that the extra bit of voltage on the memory (you could give it a little more if you see that it's needed) has improved the stability of your OC.
As for whether I have an AMD FX, no. I went over to the dark side (intel) a while ago, tired of waiting for a competitive micro from AMD

Regarding the graphics, look on the manufacturer's website (Asus) for any utility to modify the parameters, and for example, activate the GPU-Z log to monitor RPM and temperatures while you play.
Cheers!

The R9 290 and derivatives dissipate energy in a way that is a pleasure to see.
If the card consumes more energy than what is programmed as TDP (Thermal Design Power)… the card underclocks for safety to stay below that TDP and not burn out.
Also if it exceeds a certain temperature the GPU or the VRM power stage.
Therefore, if the cooling is controlled, it is recommended to increase the TDP via software with MSI Afterburner or directly reprogram that TDP in the VBios with the HawaiiBiosReader.
All the necessary info is in this thread: Hawaii Bios Editing ( 290 / 290X / 295X2 / 390 / 390X )

Hello. I'm sorry for the delay but my computer has been having a lot of issues but it's working fine now,
my temperature is now 48Cº and corsair says 39.5Cº but the overclock doesn't hold up even with 1.53v. or 1.55v. and v.core +1.250v. (1.51v.) at 4900mhz I think it's a matter of nb frequency I have it at 2209mhz and ht at 2611mhz but I don't know how the formula works for amd for calculating nb frequency for memory at 1866mhz in dualchannel,,,I think it's this but you know more than me,,,I knew quite a bit about the first i7s the 920 the 960 I had both the second one a d0 and I set it to 4170mhz with the memos at 1780 MHz or something like that and you should have seen how it pulled,,, but I'm lost with this one. I don't know if an i7 like that would also give a little to the cpu pll and a little to the nb voltage of the chipset, what do I do????????????????????????????:wall::wall::wall::wall::wall::wall:I'm not on the dark side anymore,, you have to support the competition so it doesn't disappear and that way the dark side doesn't inflate prices.:ugly:
But everyone does what they want.
I have a couple of friends they're also on the dark side lol. -
hello,,,
the cooling of the graphics card is bad the cooling,,,, with a game called miscreated it gets up to 79Cº I have it at 1060mhz and the memos at 5080 MHz and the power target at 110% and in the games I have the problem the card does not heat up it does not go over 55-58Cº,, but I have already decided that if I have the money next month I will buy a fury-x;D,,
But a Microsoft engineer told me that if it only happens with a few games it must be a bios issue,, I don't know.
And with overclocking or not,, it does the trick and it does not go up to the full frequency of the gpu to about 880mhz it stays and has some peak of 950mhz and gpu usage the same peaks, and low temperature does not go over 55-58 Cª see the capture,, almost at the vertical half of the gputweak monitor you can see the speed temperature and voltages the gpu is at 1001mhz being this the peak of the highest frequency going down to 770mhz in its lowest peak (this is not seen in the capture) and a temperature of 54Cº is seen.:osvaisacagar::eoh:

Hello again,, I have included a screenshot in the previous post and here I leave a link in case the screenshot is not visible, http://i65.tinypic.com/ilvx4k.jpg -
The photo is already visible, but be careful when uploading images, about the personal information that may be included (it is usually better to cut the part that is not interesting).
By the way, you did not say the exact model of the motherboard, right?
Is it the Gigabyte GA-990FXA-UD5 Rev 3.0 or is it another one.
Salu2!

Well, I see that GPU is underutilized…. it never goes full

Which means that your CPU is either bottlenecking or the OC is unstable.
So if you buy another more powerful graphics card, you'll be in the same situation.
Unfortunately, an FX 8350 is a pretty mediocre processor for gaming because games are not optimized for multi-core... so fewer cores and more Mhz is what you need for gaming.
Mind you, I'm not saying it's a bad processor, but its architecture is about 5 years old and it has been proven that they tried to move in the wrong direction.
As for buying a Fury X... let me link you to what's coming from May 27:
- GeForce GTX 1070 announced, will arrive in June for $379 - El Chapuzas Informático
- GeForce GTX 1080 announced, faster than two GTX 980 for $599 - El Chapuzas Informático
- The GeForce GTX 1080 runs DOOM at 200 FPS in Ultra under the Vulkan API - El Chapuzas Informático
nVidia releases their Pascal and for $599 you have a graphics card much more powerful than a Titan X that now costs around €1200 in stores.
Needless to say, people are starting to sell their cards on second-hand forums and eBay before they depreciate further since a 980Ti is estimated to have a similar performance to the GTX1070 that will be sold for $379
And that's from nVidia... AMD will also release their Polaris but nothing is known yet.

exactly it is a gigabyte 990fxa ud5 rev.3.0
thanks fassou for the cropping. -
