Has the laptop market stagnated?

We live in a time when one might think the PC era is coming to an end, but the reality is very different. Read more... -
I get the feeling that brands have focused on other things instead of performance. Before I had an Asus with an i3 Sandy, 500Gb and those "standard" 1366x768 on 15.6" that are popular in these ranges. Now I see that Asus still has the same thing at similar prices or maybe a little lower but with more recent micros and with less consumption, but not necessarily more powerful.
Personally, I'm not too fond of laptops, but in the low ranges (between 200€ and 400€) I have stopped seeing things that attract me. Either they are 15.6" laptops with little performance or Chromebooks or similar with 32Gb storage and 11.6" or little more. For me it would be attractive in those ranges machines of 13.3", possibility of changing the hard drive for an SSD, good autonomy and a decent micro, although it is a little below an i3, but lately I see little of that.
In summary, in that price range I have also seen almost no evolution.

Really, not a single laptop brand has shown anything new. The most they have managed to do is change the thickness and little else. The weight almost remains unchanged, the power is the same, and the one that cost you €500 four years ago now costs the same and the only change is that it no longer comes with a DVD drive.
But let's not be mistaken, the same is happening in the tablet and phone market: same characteristics as two years ago, and where the only difference is in the casing. Those of us who are good at it when the manufacturer stops updating them (six months after launching them on the market) we put in custom roms and keep going for another year.
I changed my note 10.1 because it broke down, if it hadn't, I would still be using it. Year 2012. And my mother and sister are still using it. Real changes for casual use? none.
The same with laptops. No SSDs, no touch screens or 3G (yes, some of us have to work outside the home and it would be a huge help), being able to put in a 3G module is not as expensive as it was four years ago, SSDs are the same, a manufacturer buys them by the ton, and touch is the same. -
Once people have enough, what more? the low range is that. Another thing is that manufacturers by reducing costs earn more and have a margin that they could lower the price or include some extra, which they do not do for obvious reasons xD
