Nintendo Switch
-

I just watched the video and to be honest, I was quite surprised.

Nintendo is not exactly famous for having the most powerful consoles, but rather for being the most original. In this case, they have not only been very original with the concept, but the gadget seems to be quite competent in terms of power.
It seems to be coming out in March 2017. There is hardly any information and we still have to see the price, but from what is shown, it looks pretty good.

I'm getting rough just by seeing it

Well, according to here it says that Nvidia is the one that will power the console. They have manufactured a custom Tegra and developed an API called NVN especially designed for making light games. It comes with hardware video decoding (nothing out of the ordinary) and custom software for applying effects to sound and rendering. Apart from that, no more technical details are known.
So far Tegras have been incorporated into development boards like this. Basically they are ARM processors with high graphic power.
So the news is not only interesting because of the product itself but because the fact that Nvidia has fully re-entered the console world.

The truth is that I find the console to be quite heavy, it's a shame that we don't know anything about what's really inside.
Rumors about Tegra and native rendering at 720p, which wouldn't be bad but it wouldn't be anything out of this world at the heights we're at.
The concept, a 9, and its ideal complement is a good powerbank of about 10A in the backpack.
As I said, it promises a lot, let's see what it ends up being. :thinking:Edit: This news on ArsTechnica is the closest thing to hardware specifications I've found, and it's just a "wild guess".

The concept is very good, but it all depends on the titles that come out...

Sony and Microsoft evolve and Nintendo innovates. I really like the concept they have applied to the switch and I see great potential in it. I don't know how it will be in terms of specifications, not only in terms of power, but also battery and manufacturing quality, because assembling and disassembling it will subject the whole thing to a lot of physical wear and tear.
-
I have been waiting for a long time for Nintendo to release a good portable device and unless they mess it up big time (and there are chances) I will buy it. I think it's a good concept of an alternative console and complementary to the competition. Nintendo's shareholders must be more than happy this year...

I'm giving the topic a push because... we already have a price on the Canadian Toys R Us: CAD 330, which according to the news would be around 250 euros/USD.
The bad thing is that there is still absolutely nothing confirmed regarding the hardware and performance, except that it doesn't have a region lock.
-
We will have to see the hardware it comes with in the end and the miscellaneous, such as autonomy, screen quality and so on.
In principle it seems a reasonable price.
-
Rumor has it that the gadget will bring the latest generation of Maxwell, the one that was introduced between 2013 and 2014 to power the Geforce GTX 960, 970 and 980 among others. Or in other words, it will have less power than a PlayStation 4 as had been rumored at first. So for playing in portable mode it is still a very relentless option although for playing on a big screen there will be those who wait much more.
There is also an image where the game developers who are going to release something for the Switch appear:
