Hello everyone!!! I hope you're all doing great!

I'm sharing some tests I did with the ASRock Z170M OC Formula with 7th GEN processors.
As you all know, along with the new processors from the blue brand, many motherboards were also launched featuring the new Z270 chipset, and many are questioning whether it's really worth changing the BOARD, especially for those who already have a quality Z170 motherboard, like the ASRock in question.
While it's clear that the ADD-ONs or FEATURES of a motherboard can vary from one to another, beyond the chipset and its benefits or supposed benefits, I haven't found many so far.
Now, for those building a PC from scratch, it might be advisable to go directly for a Z270, as long as we value what we want the motherboard and/or PC for, since, for example, in terms of Overclocking, extreme or air/water, this Z170M OC Formula from ASRock performs better than many Z270 models.

The tests focused on measuring the potential of the motherboard for both the processor and the RAM, based on the Cinebench R15, Cinebench R11.5, and GeekBench benchmarks.
      I used the following hardware:

      *ASRock Z170M OC Formula
      *SeaSonic 1250W 80Plus Gold
      *HyperX Fury SSD
*Memorias with Samsung single side chip, 2x8GB of 3600MHz CL16
*I5 7600K processor @ with DELID and CUSTOM liquid cooling

      Here are the tests:

      Processor at 5GHz and RAM at 4000MHz C12 12 12 28 1T

      Processor at 4975MHz and RAM at 4050MHz CL12 11 11 28 1t

As we can see in the tests, this motherboard overclocks spectacularly, and in both cases, CPU and RAM.
In both cases, the ceiling was imposed by the parts, not by the board. I hope to get better processors and memories soon. In the meantime, in the coming weeks, I'll do tests with this same platform but using liquid nitrogen on the CPU!

      Regards and thanks for reading/commenting.
