Speed record for a K6-2+: 810MHz
-
No, this is not a refloat from 15 years ago. On a Russian page, the results of a pretty extreme OC have appeared. Just keep in mind that the K6-2+ is quite different from the normal K6-2 because the former uses 180nm lithography instead of the 250nm of its predecessor. That explains why it can be overclocked so much even though 810Mhz is a record (the k6-2+ at higher stock frequency went to 570MHz). The screenshot of CPU-Z is this:

To me, the truth is that what calls my attention the most is that it seems like it's using Windows 10 and I think it requires SSE2 so if it's not a visual scheme of a previous Windows, or I remember the requirements of Windows 10 wrong or it can be a forgery.

It is always good to keep moving forward with the hardware used by the servers of public services such as the treasury, social security, etc.... jajaja

And of course, you publish this to me on vacation and I'm already rummaging through the cupboards to get out my old stuff in search of breaking absurd records... What a virus
Best regards!

That K6-2+ reminds me of something I still have pending
, although no, mine won't be with OC. The one I might give some beer to is the Xeon...

Mine arrived a couple of weeks ago. I have it stopped waiting for 4gb extra of ram. When I have everything I will make a post although for now I have already tested that I will not be able to squeeze its 3GHz because of the bus nonsense it has.

Here's another one who has jumped on the bandwagon and ordered a Xeon X5472 today to play around with on a recently acquired 775 board. I was thinking of inventing a RL xD When we're all tied up with them we could share recommendations

Best regards!
