Are you sure they didn't apply it during assembly and it was like that?
If it's polyurethane, that's bad because you'll need acetone or some more aggressive stripper, and you'll probably eat all the plastic it gets to.
        Leave it as it is.

That is poured in so that the internal wiring does not move or come loose with the movements and vibrations. It does not need to be cleaned.

Thank you very much for your response. It is about the subwoofer of a Gigaworks S750 sound system. The subwoofer is not just that, I mean that it is also responsible for the connections of the speakers so that they produce sound. Well, it does not work and while searching on the internet I found a tutorial to repair it. It talked about the capacitors that had to be changed because they were in bad condition. At first glance I do not see them as bad. I mean they are not swollen or leaking anything. I only see a capacitor in the shape of a lens that looks like it has come apart because it seems to have leaked something.
In short, the equipment does not work. The power LED starts to blink.
And I am not very sure what I could do with it. I accept opinions, I mean if I should give up on it and look for an amplifier and subwoofer.
