Compress EXT 4 file system
-
Hello everyone! I have a PC with a fairly small SSD that I have to constantly delete things from. I was looking for ways to save space and I remembered that in Windows it is possible to compress folders on the fly. I have found solutions that use btrfs and others but I want to do it with ext 4. Do you know any way?

@palotes I think ext4 doesn't support it, you'll have to use something more modern like ZFS: http://www.thegeekstuff.com/2015/11/zfs-filesystem-compression/

My joy is in a well. @Bm4n thanks for the answer. It will be the chosen option although I will have to format the ssd. Let's see if the gain of space is worth it.Best regards!

@palotes if you finally manage it, you will tell us how the performance and compression with ZFS is
