Age of empires definitive edition
-
Hello fellow players.
Well, there is still interest in this magnificent game that is 20 years old and some of us are still playing the famous AOE2. The official date for the definitive edition has been released, which will be on February 20th. They also indicate that it will be priced at 20 dollars (USD). We hope it will be the same conversion to euros, around 20... There are rumors that it will not be released on Steam and will only be released in the Microsoft store, but personally, I think it's a very bad idea. There is no confirmation yet.
Improvements:
-
A complete reconstruction of the assets for a modern presentation in 4K
-
The campaign and scenario editor has been improved, allowing anyone to create campaigns
-
Completely remastered soundtrack
-
Voiceover for the campaigns
-
Remastered from scratch in 4k
-
Zoom levels, something that I think will be used a lot

Of the AoEs, I really liked the first two, (the first more than the second), I also played adaptations of the engine with other themes (Star Wars: Galactic Battlegrounds for example), and that Age of Mythology (which I played again recently and thought "¿how the hell have I been able to play this?")
But at this point, releasing a simple "remastered", and on top of that, charging for it, tastes like very little to me; yes because there we have Blizzard giving away StarCraft+Brood Wars and the first campaign of StarCraft2.

It looks **deadly**, it's going to be a bomb. That said, a patch for the horses' carelessness when moving, please  And that it only runs on Windows 10 is to throw them all to the lions, although it couldn't be any other way coming from Microsoft... Best regards!
