LG TV and HBO... Raspberry?
-
Hello, well my old TV (cathode ray tube) has broken
and I bought a 43" LG IPS smart TV, the problem is that to watch HBO it says I don't have the flash player and according to what I have read you can't watch HBO on LGs, unless you use a mobile or a tablet... I have a raspberry lying around the house (sad... yes, with the possibilities it offers.) I could use it to watch HBO on the smart TV?
Until now I watched it on the PC, but now I was looking forward to watching it on the TV (by the way it's IPS 4K)
I'm not sure if this belongs here... If not... some kind admin could say so or move it.
Regards and thanks -
The bad thing about "Smart" devices is that they are products that quickly become obsolete.
The most comfortable thing will be for you to get a Chinese TV Box that already comes with a remote control (but that sells a lot, so that it has a good user base and they release updates and such) and that of course supports the application you want to use.
With a Raspberry you can do almost anything, but unless you take it as a personal project, I don't think it will be worth the time spent (except as learning) when you have the tvbox for about 20€.
Salu2!

By the way, not all Chinese TV-Box work with HBO, Netflix or Movistar TV, some work with some, others don't... The website androidpc.es is a good place to find out about it.

For now I will try with the raspberry, which I see that does not... Well I will consider an AMD 4 mini atx or itx I will see... But damn that only Samsung has HBO natively... But well, until the next season of game of thrones I have time

Netflix without problems, but it does not have anything that I like much..
Regards and thanks
