2.4GHz, 5GHz controller or wired after failure with PLC
-
Hello team, I had a cheap TP-Link controller that failed as much as the current PLC. The homeplug never left me stranded with games, I mean, it does fail but, since I have this previous experience and I'm too lazy to run 20m of cable, I'm wondering what to do after I crashed from the server in competi yesterday (we've come so far xD).
What do you think would be "the best" having a router 5 or 6m away, after 2 walls of 3 or 4 fingers? I put it in quotes because I'm clear that the ideal is to run cable but I'm a bit lazy. Do you think a wi-fi controller could work well, maybe mine was a joke or it was a fault of the access point, Conceptronic of the cheap ones too
Now I have the typical router timofón for fiber, it doesn't even have an antenna by the way.
Do you think that with a 2.4 or 5 controller I could pull it off? I think the gadget is close enough for it to fail very exceptionally.
Right now I have 50 megs and yesterday I had the best pings on the server and the jitter in the test is very low but, it's no use to me if it leaves me hanging
I should also mention that I'm in a villa so there's not much interference, I suppose less in 5GHz.
Thanks in advance

With 2 walls of 3-4 fingers, forget about 5Ghz, you won't get much (at least with the little I've been able to tinker with in 5Ghz). If you're too lazy to pull 20m of cable, make a couple of holes and pull 6m xD otherwise there's no other option than to try to get a good signal at 2.4Ghz (once you've ruled out the PLC).
