The temperature problems of the GeForce RTX 3080
This GPU is causing a lot of talk for very different reasons. On this occasion, temperatures of 104ºC have been measured in the memory, which leaves the integrated ones 6º from reaching the junction temperature. The tests were done at an ambient temperature of 22ºC.
On free hardware
The big advantage of software in general is its low cost of manufacturing and distribution. Thanks to that, free software communities can focus almost exclusively on its development. Hardware, on the other hand, needs an expensive infrastructure for its manufacture. The technical manager of System76 (manufacturer of free hardware) answers some questions in this entry.

Core i3-9100T
Krampak has brought us this Coffee Lake from last year that comes with 4 cores without HT at 3.1GHz. Comparatively speaking, it is practically identical to a couple of Kaby and Whiskey Lake CPUs. In this comparison, it is seen how the i3-9100T substantially improves efficiency with respect to the i5-7500 but is surpassed in performance/W by the Core i5-8265U. This is the twentieth Coffee Lake that reaches us and it stays in second-to-last position. In the general table, it stays just in position 50.
Edge will come out for Linux in October
In just over a month, there will be another Chrome clone available for Linux.

Ryzen 7 4800H
Someone has brought us this Zen 2 laptop with 8 cores with SMT at 2.9GHz today. Pending having results in all modes, it looks a lot like the Ryzen 7 1700X, which supposes an important leap in efficiency since Zen 1 has double the TDP than the Ryzen 7 4800H. This is the sixth Zen 2 in our database and it stays in second-to-last position in its ranking. In the general classification, it stays in tenth position.
