Rowhammer is becoming increasingly viable
This is a security attack that takes advantage of the interactions that occur between RAM cells when certain very fast state changes are made. Until now it was not practicable beyond the academic world, but with the reduction of nodes, it is beginning to be a problem to take into account.
AMD presents FidelityFX Super Resolution
The company has presented its own implementation of upscaling to 4k, something similar to what Nvidia does with its DLSS.
Ray tracing on old GPUs
Someone has managed to make Ray tracing work on Vega, Polaris and Navi GPUs.
AMD presents 3D V-Cache
This is a level 3 cache that will allow capacities of up to 192 MB. It will debut with the Zen 3s that come out at the end of the year and consists of stacking 7nm SRAM memory, which allows overcoming the current limit of 64 MB.
Raspberry Pi RP2040 will cost one euro
The microcontroller developed by the foundation will cost 1€ and will be on the market in about three months.
Firefox 89 premieres interface
