We have to keep milking the cow, and we'll see what they come up with, but surely time passes more quickly enjoying the innumerable Mods created for this great saga.

Although I don't think they will delay much, because I looked at the Web of the game and you can pre-purchase it and it's certainly not cheap... not for another 8 months, anyway. I suppose it will be worth it, but I understand that those who paid more are very upset.

I looked at the requirements and well, I think they are quite acceptable for the game that it is, although surely someone will have to change their GPU, but for my part, I think not, since I am right in the recommended ones. That said, it looks like it will take up a lot of disk space, because if they recommend a 150GB SSD, I don't think it will be anything light (the usual tone of today).

The first **STALKER** ( *STALKER Oblivion Lost* ) was initially planned for the summer of 2003, but they ended up releasing it in March 2007 as *STALKER Shadows of Chernobyl*, after **THQ** got into the kitchen in October 2006 and started cutting left and right, forcing **GSC Game World** to finish the job.

In 2008 they released the prequel: *STALKER Clear Sky*

And in 2009 the magnificent *STALKER Call of Pripyat*

If you count from 2010 to follow, it will only be 13 years

Creating on a commercial engine like Epic's should make their work much easier compared to the first 3, but I would be surprised if they released it this year.

I remember that the first one, the only one I've played because I'm a disaster and I don't get into the others, I played it practically when it came out, more or less between April-May (yes, it came out in March). I think it caught me in the middle of having surgery, the thing is that afterwards I had plenty of time to enjoy it because I wasn't working, it was a good postoperative xD

@fassou let's hope it doesn't become Vaporware as you rightly mention. I think the development will be quite advanced, but they may have to debug or improve some things, because with a delay of a few months (6-8) I don't think the project is half-finished. Better that they polish it and test it well, that even so it will have some flaws... or directly they would see something that was a serious problem and they are solving it.
As long as they don't do what happened with Cyberpunk 2077, I think we can be pleased.

I remember that in the SoC, when they were polishing errors, with the different patches, the savegames of the previous version didn't work! Fortunately I played it a few weeks later and practically I had quite a bit of luck, but I think I had more than one disappointment xD

STALKER 2 is delayed to 2023, new trailer with the game's graphic engine: Big graphic leap.

STALKER 2 is one of the most anticipated games by users of Xbox Series X-Series S, and also by PC players. It will be an exclusive for both platforms, so it won't come to PS5, and according to GCS GameWorld it will be available from 2023 although they have not given a specific month, so it can arrive both at the beginning and at the end of that year.

It is not the first time the game suffers a delay, recently we saw that STALKER 2 was delayed to December, now it has suffered a new delay that takes the game directly to sometime in 2023. With nothing more to tell you, we can only wish that the new delay is minimal, and that the game ends up arriving in the first quarter of 2023.

STALKER 2 is going to be a true next-gen game, because it will be based on the Unreal Engine 5 graphic engine and will use advanced technologies, including photogrammetry and ray tracing, as well as motion capture to offer high realism in facial animations. The result that has been seen in the videos that have appeared with real game scenes is very good, and to compensate for this new delay another video based on the game's graphic engine has been published.

Microsoft maintains that STALKER 2 will have 4K resolution and ray tracing in its version for Xbox Series X, but it is not clear what ray tracing will improve, whether reflections, shadows or lighting. It is unlikely that it will improve those three aspects because the demands would be too high for Microsoft's console when the game runs in 4K. We also know nothing about its possible requirements on PC, but we can take for granted that they are going to be quite high.

Honestly it is one of the best sagas I have played, maybe some very "linear" (something I have never liked... I prefer open worlds)
But be that as it may...
It will fall.
So suddenly, everyone promised an "open" world but in all of them you had to complete X missions to get the necessary equipment,
to be able to advance.
I don't know if about 10 years or 20 have passed since the first one.
But I think that as it was the game, with the current means it could be a "cucumber"

New announcements to generate buzz before the Hype Train starts on a hypothetical release (we need to improve the numbers of pre-orders).

Now they talk about using a technology from nVIDIA called Omniverse to generate the videos that will accompany the game (if they're going to bring PCs to their knees, imagine trying to run an ingame sequence on a console).

It doesn't have a name as catchy as the new technology nVIDIA CuLitho but the sooner they release the game, the sooner we can test and improve the game.
