Summary of the week of November 22, 2021
-
This has by far been the weakest week of all. And not because I couldn't post things, but because I haven't found anything really relevant (maybe I need to diversify my sources a bit more). A news item came out about how 32GB of DDR5 RAM cost €2000 on eBay and based on that they said that DDR5 was very expensive but it was just sensationalist garbage. Let's see this week how it turns out.
What DOOM would look like in task manager
Someone has created a series of fake (but cool) videos in which games are run using the task manager's load indicators. In this one, you can see DOOM.
Motherboard for Raspberry Pi
The Seaberry motherboard is a Raspberry Pi with 11 PCIe slots that are distributed in 4 mini PCI slots, 4 M.2 E-key connectors, one M.2 M-key, one x16 and one x1. Unfortunately, all of this converges into a single PCIe Gen 2 lane.
A 7:32 screen
A Japanese company has developed a screen with an aspect ratio of 7:32 and a resolution of 420×1920. It's portable, only 8.8" and costs about €130.
